A tour from Exmouth Docks to Sandy Bay March 1991
1st January 1990 was the day Exmouth docks ended its days as a commercial port. Over the next three decades the whole area including part of the Seafront will be redeveloped.
Away from the holiday season the beach is tidied and regraded and wind blown sand from the road is deposited back on the beach.
The cliffs at Orcombe Point are the start of the Jurassic Coast and the tour continues along the cliff path to Sandy Bay and what is now the Devon Cliffs Holiday Park.

Royal Marine Commando Speed March along Exmouth seafront
My stepson, brought up single handed by is mother, now my wife, passed out in 1990 and is now a lieutenant colonel with only a couple of years before he retires. We both think (my wife and myself) this to be a great achievement and wish him well for the future
I wish I join uk solider
In 2011 was discharged 'Unfit Military Service' after 12 weeks of training at Lympstone due to a 'medical issue' and the insurance shite surrounding it. Absolutely gutted as a 19 year old with his mind set on a green lid, but that's life. I took the ethos and attitude with me into life, and I reckon I'd be a lot worse off without putting in the effort to get if and pass PJFT, PRMC and give training a solid crack until I had to stop. Prior to that, I was a skinny, poor postured teen, ate shit, played video games etc. I did cadets and Nijmegen that gave a small taste and some life skills, but that's just playing soldiers with a few scout badges in comparison. 31 now, still gutted I didn't get to have a crack at commando phase, but now I live in Australia, still keep fit (never stopped), great job, great family, great life. The attitude of "just keep going and get it done" is absolutely why I'm there, not dole scrounging in Yorkshire.
Didillybop
There are some old ones in the first part and with belly’s
My beautiful boy is in there somewhere 💕 This was just before he earned his green beret in June 2014 so he's got the comforter cap on. Couldn't be prouder of my lad!!!
Simply the best .

They are Royal Marines not Army but part of the Royal Navy( the best part)
Brings back memories at CTC..last half mile with respirators on ....a beasting as I remember, many more done on preceding years...not always happy days if you let your phys. Slip...
It’s crazy how they all have to do it in sync
Very impressive and beautiful to watch...
A great regiment
Why the different coloured berets?
INDONESIAN KOPASSUS KOPASKA KOPASKHAS DENJAKA SAT BRAVO 90 SAT GULTOR 81 DENHARIN IS THE BEST
Bloody hell.. how many is there??
Of all the many black people in Britain, you hardly can point at one in their military. What racist country!!! But check out USA,so many blacks in their military with some many excelling to four star generals.
Actually thats wrong...there are plenty of both Black British and CW soldiers
Quite a lot of commandos- how many units are these constitute of - definitely more than a battalion for a commando unit
Best in the world ..when these lads get involved it game over.. respect
Pongan de Argentina si es un canal argentino que hacen asoemdoles publicidad
We have lived near 40 and 45 Royal Marine Comando, respect to you all but especially the local lads in Somerset.
I’m an ex Somerset lad with some good mates still serving at Taunton. Per mare per Terram.
@@freelancebush much respect to our serving personal, our granddaughter commences her RAF training next week. Its a good career these days.
@@magnuswalker7957 Respect to your granddaughter too.
It is a good pace to jog at. I am 65. Running 43 years. Have gone back to the speed march pace I did in the 70's in the TA 5th Battalion the Royal Anglian Reg. I am doing 5 or 12 miles jogs listening to pod casts and audio books. I find this less damaging to my well worn bones. And hiking with small back pack speed up the time.with short jogs. British Forces are second to none. Do some weights. Go for a 5 or 12 mile jog. Relax afterwards with a cold beer .Heaven.
Whish you nice to meet you everybody right now jai hind
Visitar a los argentinos y os irais calientes🤢🤢🤢🤮
What’s the distance of the speed march? If they had been running for an hour and still stayed in formation, that would be an achievement.
They don't sing a cadence?? That's boring. Hats off to them though.
Go Britts !!
respect from a spartan comando,,,
Royalty is trash. No democratic nation should use their assets. Their better off dead and forgotton about.
Es un video realmente impresionante, tremendo documento grafico. Como corren estos prendas, seguro que no hay otro colectivo en el mundo capaz de realizar tan enorme proeza. Me he quedado atonito.
Just look like old fat men compare our kopassus commandos😂😂
Kopisusu lose to papua 😆
(🇦🇷 🇬🇧) 👊🤠
What is different color of beret?
And that is why the Falkland Islands are still the Falklands and not the Malvinas. 🇬🇧
They should Recruit Black soldiers
They do.....IDIOT.....
The fastest army in the 🌎 world
Royal Marines aren't in the army
Well neither are ants but their referred to as an army working together in unison.
All I can think about is the chin splints , running slow in boots. Gave me the wrist chin splints
Great stuff. My dad often recounted his experience of the speed march from Spean Bridge station to Achnacary House (in 1941) after which he went to 43 Commando. He loved everything about the Marines.
Thankyou DAD x
My son who earned his green beret in 2014 was stationed in 43
Nice to see the crowd helping them keep in time with the claps :)
Power walking Olympians 😅🤣
After watching this l feel very proud, safe, and protected. I salute every single one of them ! Awesome video 👏👏👍👍

The police escort seems a little unnecessary.
You go gorgeous guys. God bless.
My extreme and infinite respect goes to the men of steel with the gas masks and MP5'S = the legendary SAS Who Dares Wins 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
These are Royal Marines..this page is really to comment on them
When your in training, you are in full equipment and carrying weapons. if you get out of step it can get quite fractious with the odd fight breaking out. 🤣😂.That was nearly 50 years ago, still member it as if it were yesterday.
