@ Yes of course! I use it mainly for hiking or commuting 5 miles to work. My Delta Lt‘s (old version) don’t smell after three days and I can wear it at work (I sell Outdoor Equipment).

That’s a great question! You are correct that it isn’t good for down to be compressed, but for long periods of time because it reduces the loft of the feathers. That in turn reduces the warmth with less loft. That’s why you should never store a down sleeping bag compressed for a long period of time. However, you can compress a down blanket or sleeping bag for short periods of time while backpacking or camping. After short periods of compression, the loft will return naturally. ✌️

There are no pockets on the inside of this jacket.

I like to either shove it down the center gap or unzip the front pocket and stuff it in there. Either works pretty well.

The Microdini fleece hoody is going to be a heavier weight material and comes in at 13.7 grams. The R1 is lightweight breathable and more of a technical fleece for high output activities. The Microdini would be great for around town and every day use whereas the R1 Air would be better suited for the mountains. Hope that helps!

@@JohnLaGuardia ah thanks! I have the microdini and it’s interesting you say it’s a heavier weight material as it’s pretty thin as is, meaning the R1 is even thinner, which is what I was curious about. Thanks for the info!

That is correct. I believe the reason is warmth and the fact that they are worn as a base layer. Hasn’t been an issue for me but I can see how it would be for some who have the same preference.

16” laptop won’t fit in the built-in sleeve but you could put it in a separate sleeve then place it in the main part of the backpack if needed.

Yes. An alternate slide in fin of the same size could be used.

During charging,there should be a small green flashing light under the bottom right corner of the light button. Give that another try and if it still does not appear, try another cable before sending it back. Faulty cables are fairly common and it could be that.

I have used these on sub zero days both in the backcountry and at the resorts with the Raymer Shell pant. I have had no issues with getting cold. I’m confident you will love them for both warmth and comfort on the chair or the uptrack. Pro tip: if you always run cold and end up having issues, try throwing a hand warmer in each pocket of your shell pants. A friend of mine did that recently and it worked well.

You are correct on the color name. It does have a hint of green tint to it in person. It can also look grey in certain light temperatures above 5000k.

It does have two strips of internal, removable frame with frame pockets on the inside of the pack. It’s a great pack for what you mention and I have used it to pack gear into huts as well as daily skinning/skiing. You won’t be disappointed. 😀

Yep! Fold it in thirds lengthwise. Then roll it up and stuff in the roll.

I bought the hoodless half zip one a few years ago and the zip always got caught at the start of the neck. On inspection there was some slight tearing of the material that holds the zip. I never did anything about it but its always quite annoying. Otherwise an amazing top and I still love it.

Yes if you are looking for a more lightweight, packable option. The Platte is lighter and easier to transport/store. Enjoy!
