Harry Potter: Dumbledore's Farewell - Organ Arrangement by Manuel Böhm
🎵 Harry Potter: Dumbledore's Farewell - Organ Arrangement by Manuel Böhm🎵
On September 27, 2024, we lost an incredibly talented actress and a warm person. Dame Margaret Natalie Smith (28 December 1934 - 27 September 2024) had an extensive career on stage and screen spanning seven decades and was one of Britain's best-known and most prolific actresses.
In each of her roles, be it in various comedies or dramas or as the well-known Prof. Minerva McGonagall in Harry Potter, she has achieved great things and has delighted many viewers for decades. With her role as Prof. Minerva McGonagall, she enriched the Harry Potter films incredibly and helped make the films as beautiful and nostalgic as they are.
In memory of Maggie Smith and all other actors from the Harry Potter series who have sadly already passed away, I wrote this organ arrangement on "Dumbledore's Farewell" and recorded it in the Stadtkirche in Biedenkopf.
“Do not pity the dead, but the living, and especially those who live without love...”
Rest in peace Maggie Smith!🕯️🙏😔

🎵Canon in D - Johann Pachelbel I Improvisation by Manuel Böhm🎵 This time I was in the “Stadtkirche” in Biedenkopf and recorded one of the most famous classical pieces. The "Canon in D" by Johann Pachelbel was actually a "Canon a 3 Violini con Basso continuo" - canon with three violins and basso continuo, which he probably wrote for the wedding of Johann Christoph Bach, the older brother of J.S....

That was beautiful Manuel. A lovely tribute to Dame Maggie Smith 🙂
@@michaeltreadwell777 Thank you very much!🙏🕯️
If you have any chance, would you please play the hymn "Abide With Me"? Thanks before..❤
@@bedsimelissawowiling1228 The video is planned for this year☺️ I'm giving a big concert in two weeks. That's why there's little time for new recordings at the moment🫣🙈 All the best, stay tuned!
@@OrganSoundsProduction Wow. That is actually a really good news! Can't wait. Praying that all of your preparation and the team for the concert will be perfect. God bless!
Thank you very much! 🤗 God bless you too! 🎶
Hervorragend gespielt. Danke😊
Killer dynamics - well done!
A really good listen, thank you.

Today we lost THE voice of the Dark Side of the Force. James Earl Jones, Rest in Peace. 93.
A favorite festival hymn of mine! I grew up in a tradition that did not sing it, but when I was in high school the school choir spent a long time learning to sing it precisely and musically so we would be prepared to join choirs from schools in the whole region of our state in the annual Eastern Central Illinois Choral Festival. With the hall filled with singers and orchestra, we shook the rafters. I am pleased you have played it. And so beautifully!
@@sabin615 Thank you very much!🙏🤗🎶 It is also one of my favorite hymns:) I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed it! Stay tuned 👋😊
As an organist I've always thought this would make a great wedding processional or recessional
Wonderful Manuel - keep it up 🙂
@@michaeltreadwell777 Thank you very much 🤗🙏🎶 Stay tuned:)
As old as time and magnificent every time. Classics in every sense. Magnificent organist.....
Magnificent..Bitter Sweet Symphony would be unbelievable in that young man's hands.....on that mighty organ......
More of powerfull sound like this, please.. ❤ Love it so much!
The first time I heard this piece was at a Great Aunt's Funeral held in the Seventh Day Adventist Church where it was large enough to hold the service. She was well known and had tons of people attending. I love this prayerful tune. I am going to have this played at my memorial service someday. ❤
Bravo! ...When's the Imperial March? 😅
@@AndrewHesterLaughThank you!☺️ Don't know yet😄
A fitting place to play such a lovely song.
Really beautiful
Wonderful World wonderful playing
I have never seen an organ with so many swell shoes. Is there 5? You played this fantastically, I love how the out of tune reeds add so much character to this piece. If I ever build an organ, I will make a stop called the Trumpet en Chemade celeste. Bravo sir, bravo!!!
@@RandomOrganist687 Thank you very much!🙏😊🎶 Yes, the organ has 5 enclosed divisions. Absolutely wonderful 😌🎶🎶 Stay tuned!🤗👋

The Final Duel must sound brilliant on this instrument... Just a thought, not a request, though I'd be surprised if you haven't thought about it yourself already...
I play the pipe organ foot pedals barefoot. I don't understand playing foot pedals with shoes on and being able to achieve any accuracy. I bet you don't play the keyboard with gloves on. See what I mean.
well done😀

Another BRILLIANT performance Manuel ! I love the split camera work - lovely to see your feed scampering away over those pedals. It's such fun watching and hearing your playing - thank you so much. Take care 🙂

Out of the 2,200 people aboard the Titanic, april 15, 1912 1,500 people died, and only 705 survived. May all rest in peace. You are not forgotten
A story that has been left out of the history books is one of a Pastor Harper, who won people for Christ while the boat sank. His last convert was a man who was later pulled into a life boat and survived. Harper drowned.
Wunderschön ☺️ Gänsehaut am ganzen Körper bekommt man da 🤩
Klasse, das Stück auf Orgel, und das in der E-Kirche 😃
May the Force be with you.
This piece reminds me more of Walton than Elgar, however Walton was probably inspired by Elgar's Pomp and Circumstances pieces too.
