Переглядів 3,9 тис.7 років тому
Parrotlets are a group of the smallest New World parrot species, comprising several genera, namely Forpus, Nannopsittaca, and Touit. Most species travel in flocks of about five to forty. They form lifelong, tight p...

Excellent point. Birds interpret screaming as excitement.

Thank you for this. It was very helpful. I have a 2 1/2 month old IRN. I brought her home 3 weeks ago and a couple days ago she became a monster. While young, it is every symptom of bluffing. Question: how long was it until you could keep your bird on your finger. Mine can step up but always flies away. Never really wants out of the cage or to be touched. Thank you.

I love you lol I have a troubled bird. It was a gift and he’s very untamed. I made an appointment with a vet to get his wings clipped, hopefully then training will become easier. He won’t fly around and crash into anything anymore 😢

Question. I recently bought a yellow Indian ring neck. 7 month old. I’m a little upset at the pet store cause they had him in a cage that was to small and he broke off his tail feathers moving around in there. How long do you think it will take for them to grow back? Also I know all birds are different but he has been with me for not even a week but he is very quiet. Will he most likely become more vocal as he matures? Thank you for your time

I enjoy your videos and I think you do a great job.......but I prefer patience over forced control. I also treat my birds in a way that encourage them to be themselves...of course the basics, as stepping up, offering their foot for a shakee, returning to me on a call and the acceptance of scratching also bedtime return to cage. I appreciate a bird who exhibits its natural personality NO circus tricks and all my birds have free roam daily. They all get along and enjoy each others cages and tasting everyone foods haha. Although my little flock is not large, they give me so much joy. So, here is a hello from "Pico" the parrotlet....."Jingles" the white Cockatiel...... "Breaker" a beautiful native Cockatiel......."Tony Bennett" the Cloister Canary and "Skittles" the green cheeked Conure. Now we are waiting for our "P.D." the Lavender Ring Neck Parrakeet. So, keep taking care of all your pal and "Lets have some videos"

adopted (VERY difficult biting, aggressive)10 yo Conure. He was only ever handled with perch/ sticks. No hand can go near him without mutilation. Cant "wiggle finger" when he's biting because, um his beak is clamped down and you're just 'moving the knife around'. I've tried everything. I'm at home working so he has company and 'out of cage time' 10hr+ a day, scritches (with stick ONLY), soft kind talk, quiet discipline of "bite = time out, and ignore". Still, I cant do ANYTHING without him freaking out and flying over to me and possible biting me because he doesnt like me "doing anything". He is only handled with a stick; you NEVER can touch this bird; and I know full well to never touch the body portion. Will likely clip his wings on your advice because that would be better than him having to go back to original household, because this is really disrupting my entire life. Have a one room studio apartment. I didnt exactly want a bird but this was a family members kid who went to college and couldn't take him. I always thought the bird in a bad situation when I visited them; kind of locked away because too aggressive. They absolutely couldn't handle this bird the way I've seen it done in like 99% of vids. Now I'm in a moral dilemma of "I didn't want a bird but I want a better life for this one. My sister doesn't seem to understand what it takes to properly care for a bird and how they should be trained to behave so they can have much needed socialization.
