Oil change on 04 VW Jetta TDI 5 Speed Manual
Переглядів 6 тис.3 роки тому
Hey Guys this is just a quick video on showing you how to do an oil change on a 2004 V wagon Jetta TDI five speed manual! Hope this helps someone else and I hope you guys enjoy subscribe for more Comment if you guys have any questions!! :)
How many miles you got it.
I will add a 2005 VW MK-4 Jetta TDI manual transmission sedan to my 2014 VW JSW TDI collection.
Get the Audi R8 caps for oil and coolant. It will make it much easier to unscrew and screw back. Do a fumoto quick drain for oil change l.
Shaffer's 9000 5W-40 full synthetic I recommend for all VW TDI cars.
Thanks for the video, I’ve had my ALH TDI since 2015 , I’ve changed my oil numerous times but today I second guessed myself (I do that a lot) and realized I have been putting the small ORING in the wrong spot for years I was putting it in the larger gap above the gap where it is supposed to go and the old ORING has been in original spot for years so today the new ORING Is in the correct spot.
You should had place the filter in the housing first then pre fill with oil, otherwise the first seconds you turn on the engine the rod bearings will get scratched
Thanks for sharing this. Just bought one for a winter n this help alot!! Didn't realized how different it it to change the oil.
❤
Thanks, very helpful!
I watched your video before changing the oil on my newly purchased TDI and I found it very helpful as I am also very precise with how I do things. I was wondering if you still owned your Jetta? I question this because I noticed how you didn't completely seal the oil filter cartridge as you can still see the coloured o-ring. I fear that this is not wise. There is a torque spec on the black cap, but a friend of mine recommended to me that I simply ensure that the black cap is tightened all the way down, so that there is no gap between the metal housing and the black cap. He did tell me that this is the worst part about changing the oil on this generation of Jetta. I had to use a universal filter wrench to both loosen, and tighten the black cap. He owns the same type of Jetta as you and I do, so I trusted his knowledge. He is also a licensed mechanic, so again I believe him to be credible. I appreciate you making this video as I watched it before beginning my oil change, and I wanted to thank you for that. I also wanted to share that piece of knowledge that I received from my friend in hopes that it helps you.

easy 2" lift with jeep springs and f150 shocks on a jetta
Doesn’t seem like a very easy process to me tho. I’d be doing it with no knowledge of lifts
