Madam, there were Muslim clerics who also spoke to their people to vote for Bawumia. Don’t let your political affiliation make you say anything. How well do you know the thoughts of Bawumia? Everybody speaks based on their level of interest. Religious people do that based on their interest- religion - and the only persons who have to be open minded are the learned citizens like you and I to understand these things. or by your post are you suggesting that a Muslim has to be violent by all means and so Bawumia choosing the peaceful approach makes him the most righteous? That then should be a big insult to the Islamic community whose religion actually preach peace a lot. Must anyone say Mahama is more righteous than Islamic clerics who advised their followers to vote for Bawumia? With WHICH authority do you even judge people on their righteousness? One of the men says, he called and sent me to purchase an item in a shop for him and and when I came, he told me to bring it inside and then raped me. The other girl says he was our friend, we call him papalao when he’s passing by and he plays with us so I went to his house to get a ball we often play with and when I got there he wasn’t outside so I went to his room to ask for the ball and he raped me. Which of these is not a valid rape case? Or you’ll say Papalao is a an old friend of yours so it’s only the first person that’s a rapist? The principle is what is bad is bad and must be condemned. That’s all. If you think religious leaders encouraging people to vote for a particular religion is not good. Simply be against that. Don’t come and say did you hear xxxxxx say yyyyyy while declaring the ultimate- vote for the one in my religion (technically meaning because the man is my religion, he will be best to lead us). When you do this, you make it obvious that it’s a cry over the political loss of power and I think we should be citizens more than political followers. The fact is given the fact that Ghana has more Christians , you’ll expect Christians to say such things more than Muslims.
