The original layout was actually not O scale, it was Q…..slightly off and custom built by a modeler named Minton Cronkite. Whatever the real Santa Fe was running, the museum had running…..paid for by the ATSF.

Going to Disney in 2022 and I can't wait to get on this ride. it looks like so much fun.

There is a difference between a Train Set and a Train Layout. This is a Train Layout.

This is a nice modernization of the 1950s set I visited as a tyke. The city scape is great! There was another sizable model RR layout in Elmhurst or Wheaton I had stumbled upon. Details are fuzzy, I was a teenager on a date!

I love this ride but get nervous as hell to do it. Last time I did it I literally had to hold on to the bar next to me and hold my Aunt's hand I was terrified. There was like an 8 year old in the front wearing a tower of terror hat and she wasn't even scared. Also I mentioned the hat because somehow it stayed on the whole time what kind of physics was she using to keep it on?! Also I always laugh when I see people on this I'm probably a psychopath. I recorded videos from Sunset Boulevard of people screaming their heads off and boy did I enjoy it.

Thank you so much for posting this. I saw this show at Shedd about six years ago and the dog part inspired me to adopt my first dog. He passed away yesterday and watching this has helped me more than I can say. Keep on adventuring.
