Very nice couple, excellent dancers , they dance so beautiful. Also, what they say about the new things added to the new bachata dance is true. The new bachata is a mix of ( bolero, bachata, tango, zouk, kizomba, etc) and I think new bachata songs have changed the way how people dance this new style of bachata and is so easy to adapt all the zouk movements in bachata. Because simply what everybody teaches and dance bachata nowdays is 75% zouk and the rest the other dances combined. I think new songs from 2 or 4 years ago and the new songs today have helped to execute all these new moves and turn patterns because in traditional bachata music is not easy to do or or simple new bachata dancers will not feel it. Imagine , traditional bachata songs like ( Elizabeth - Jose Manuel, Ileso , Teodoro Reyes, Se Te Nota, Joe veras etc. ) new dancers simply will not feel it, and dance like Christian and Gabriela will not happen. Although are exceptions like the song Brindo con Agua - Aventura , a well done demo by Pablo and Raquel. They do it nice demo becuase besides the zouk they throw in that song they fit perfect into that music sound. I can not picture Kike and Nair on a demo on a song like Brindo con Agua, maybe Gero and Migle. So the new bachata music, fits perfect for the new bachata we see nowdays, songs like, Pinto Picasso - Señal, Mátame - Sebas Garreta, Miéntele - Román, Mayinbito, Apretaito - Charles Luis, Calentura - Pinto Picasso, Una Señal - Akai Rojas, Esme ft. Felix - A las 12, SERENATA - JEAN & ALEX FT. BRAZIL 21 FT. SP POLANCO, Serenata the song Christian and Gabriella did demo. yes those songs and like 200 new songs in the past 2 years. By the way, can coment your 15 best favorites new songs? Let me know if you agree the new sound on bachata songs changed the way bachata plus all the zouk patterns help make what bachata is now. In fact , I was in a festival , in went to the zouk room , I was in the room I turn around and Gabriella was there . a zouk instructor , I don’t think he knew Gabriela , he asked her to dance, and Gabriela said , no I do not dance zouk. A girl next to her told the guy “she dance” pushed her a little bit. They danced and the guy looked like he wanted to put a lot into the zouk dance and Gabriela was like wait, slow down, I think the guy felt she was not at his level and understood. The song finished and I was thinking how come someone like Gabriela , makes like 75% of zouk moves or more cannot execute the same moves in zouk? Also, why Bachata dancers in the zouk room forget all the zouk moves they know in bachata because bachata is simply zouk. The next day on the festival I was in the kizomba room , again Gabriela and friends are there , someone asked her to dance , and she danced kizomba, she was more relax than the zouk dance. Later, I saw Gabriela in the Bachata room , I asked her to dance , we danced. I dance more kizomba and zouk, that is why I spend more time in the bachata festivals in zouk and bachata rooms . I recorded like couple minutes of Gabriela dancing Kizomba, Zouk( nice job) and of course me with dancing Bachata. I mention this because she is open to learn other styles” I would like to learn zouk” Gabriela said in the interview. so I think people should learn other styles because at the end this fusion makes the new bachata a great dance. Just look at the known bachata couples like Marco and Sara. Sara is a professional dancer in Salsa, Zouk and Kizomba. Gero, a Zouk dancer, even the new dancers , Aitor and Angelica dance zouk well, etc.

I was lucky to meet Leandro and Jomante at a bachata festival in Hamburg a few months ago. I dont remember when was the last time I had so much fun learning bachata! The workshops were incredibly insightful and fun! I absolutely love their Bachata elegante syle! Leandro is an incredible and effective teacher i ever met. Usually when a student has a question the teacher replies verbally. But Leandro would invite the student to the stage and danced with them and give them proper personalized feedback. I am myself an educator and this was a great reminder that to help someone we need to fully understand where they are coming from. Thank you Leandro and Jomante for the amazing workshops at ICB Bachata Festival in Hamburg and thank you Rigo for the interview!

I dont like their style. They only dance remixes. They dont dance classic bachata songs like Romeo Santos or prince royce
