@@petersteinmeijer519 What? It's a clearly marked cycle path. The surface changes a few times, but check out the bike symbol painted on the path and the cycle path sign beside us. It's even painted red. The pavement is alongside. But thanks for commenting without... what, looking at the video properly? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why don't you watch it again. When you signal you move onto the sidewalk. The bike symbol is in the bike lane where some cyclists are waiting for the light to change and the colour of the sidewalk also happens to be red. Wasn't the white line you crossed a bit of a clue ?

Yes, had coffee in Oudewater, a delightful town. We’ve been cycling in the Netherlands for the last 12 years. Usually 8 or 9of us the oldest is 86 and we cycle about 40 to 50 miles a day. No e-bikes yet. We get the ferry from North Shields to Ijmuiden. We select a hotel about 45 miles from the port and cycle around the area surrounding the hotel using the numbered nodes………..We’ve managed to explore quite a bit of the area from Woerden up to Hoorn and down to the Delft area……….Cycling in the Netherlands is one of the highlights of my year.

We had superb weather! That maze of hedges is in the Tuinvereniging "Ons Buiten" to the north of Leiden. It's billed as a community garden but I don't think the translation quite works: it's more like private allotments. Adam tried several times to find a public path through it, as it would be a pretty route to take if we were to live in Merenwijk. But he encountered signs saying 'private' or similar on every path he tried.

LOL, maybe you will need to apply to get a garden! The "maziness" of it is pretty cool, though.

Hello! We loved Oudewater! I love small towns like this, like the one where I grew up, and it's so easy to get straight out into the countryside. It was fun to get weighed on the witch's scale, too. Also - we love cheese! 😍

@@velovoice47 that's funny because I actually find cheese disgusting, and I've never been to the witch museum even though I live 2 minutes away from it🤣
