Skatter Plugin Tutorial - Sketchup 2020 Vray Next 4.0
This tutorial presents an extension, Skatter for Sketchup which allows you to easily add and scatter objects (trees, rocks, boxes, grass etc...) all around your scene in sketchup. The extension comes with a built in library of highly detailed grass, trees, stones... and allows you to add your own library, allowing you to achieve amazing renders with Vray. How you do that grass and tress in render without a material in sketchup? its look like empty but in renderer there it is.

Thank you so much for this ! I just have one problem, the water looks really nice and realistic on the left side but its way too noisy on the right side because theres too many white dots. What can i do to change that??

how do you have vegetation in your render window but none in your model space? sorry im a new to vray
It is a feature of Skatter. Allows you to have objects in your scene that only appear in the render in order to navigate through your file easily. Here is a video about it: ua-cam.com/video/hun8Yh4nKg8/v-deo.html
Hi! I am a bit late to this video but I have a question and hope you will still see this... Setting everything up on the V-Ray asset editor works perfectly, but when I go back to my sketchup window and use the bucket tool it doesn’t change the material of the mirror object. Do you know what the problem here could be? And thanks for the tutorial!

Hi. i have an issue with my skatter plugin, can i please contact you regarding this?
whenever i select a item from its library and select a surface after, nothing actually gets generated. and over and above, my computer sort of crashes in a way. is it something about units or something idk. i can get anything to show up

@@kazouza ya so I select an object from the Library and then select the grouped surface and then nothing shows up on the screen and most times sketchup freezes there. Or I select the and externally sourced component and select pick points on a surface, then sketchup crashes. I suspect the default units in skatter might be too high or something I can't tell exactly. Dunno what's wrong. But so far haven't been able to skatter anything in model. It just crashes everytime I try to. I tried loading a laubwerk plant object and tried skatter-ing that. Crashed.
