Alice Walker - "The Flowers": A Musical Journey
Based upon Alice Walker's poignant short story about an innocent little girl in the American South who discovers the horrors of racism, this musical work, along with the flowing text attempts to bring to capture the moods, tone, and emotions of the literary work, already abundant in the text itself, and elicit a stronger emotional response from the audience, through the power of music.
