Supraclinoid ICA Dolichoectasia Causing Compression of the Optic Nerve
Nicholas T. Gamboa, MD; Serge Makarenko, MD; William T. Couldwell, MD, Phd
Department of Neurosurgery, Clinical Neurosciences Center, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah
Intracranial arterial dolichoectasia (or dilatative arteriopathy) is characterized by abnormal elongation, tortuosity, or increase in diameter of at least one of the main cerebral vessels. Dolichoectasia can be found incidentally or can present with cranial neuropathies (including vision loss) or stroke. Here, we describe the presentation and open surgical treatment of a patient with dolichoectasia of the intracranial internal carotid artery (ICA) causing monocular vision loss.

My experience as a patient for any candidates looking at comments. They cut my brain open to remove a Tumor 2021. Saved my life? Probably. Would I have rather died vs what I’m going through now? 110% They made millions from my surgery. Once they had their money, they threw me on the streets 3 days after surgery. Since they dumped me on the streets I’ve been homeless. I use my scar to beg for money so I can eat. I lost my job, I have no medical insurance and they did not prepare me for life after surgery. They used me, abused me, made millions from my insurance to pay the surgeons 990k salary and did not prepare me for this new life. They did try and push pills on me when I tried to tell them what I was going through. Want to make a million dollars a year? That can happen here. Want to actually help people and be a good human? Nope. You’ll just destroy lives.
