Greetings! My name is Joseph and I have been interested in random stuff my whole life, so I decided to make a UA-cam channel to share some of it with the world. That channel is this, which has grown more than I ever ever expected it would!

1940s(?) Stancor 10” Desk Fan
Never seen one of these until today, quite a unique fan, albeit just above dimestore grade. The reason I was operating it off the power box is due to the fact the switch is very temperamental, I plan to either rebuild it or replace it at some point in the future however for now it’s fine.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

1970s Montgomery-Wards (Hunter) 7-Blade Box Fan w/ Eggcrate Grille
Переглядів 60День тому
This was a present from my grandparents for my birthday last weekend. When they got it, there were 5 mice inside (3 live, 2 dead), they had to remove, then when I got it I found an additional dead mouse and 2 very large mud dauber nests inside the speed control area! Good times… Enjoy!

Armington & Sims 3 Chime Whistle - Noon Blast - Dearborn, Michigan
Переглядів 13928 днів тому
Located in Greenfield Village. I was here today for the old car festival so that provided the perfect opportunity to get a good video of this! Whistle goes off every day at noon and 6PM, and is on top of the Arlington & Sims factory, where it was made! Enjoy!
Federal Sign & Signal Vibratone 350 A1(?) Horn Test
Переглядів 113Місяць тому
This unit is an earlier and rarer variant of Federal’s 350 horn, as it uses the open grille which was phased out by the 1970s I believe, in favor of the Vibratone style most people know today. This horn is 120VAC, and was removed by a friend from an abandoned factory in Northwest Indiana, along with another horn identical but in better shape which is now owned by @mr.fortytwofortysix-two. Enjoy!

Nice. I'm moving into a house with a wall mounted fan, the wind is knocking it around but now that I see the pull chain I have to wonder if something like this is missing?
@@forumicebreaker If your fan doesn’t have a pull chain it’s probably controlled by a switch on the wall.

@@neohistoryfan1014 I don’t think so, fan came that way and I wasn’t able to safely fix it.
I wonder why they even bothered putting that grill on it
@@FourtyFiftyEightyIt’s more so for the looks, back before OSHA pretty much no fans had enclosed grilles

@@vladey96 Nope, bet it would do real nicely though.
Hey, I have that fan's cousin! The 49x929.
I have an old "Diehl" fan of similar vintage; found it in the attic of my Grandmother after she passed away about 30 years ago; and I use it on a daily basis during the summer. All those modern plastic crap fans just don't cut it in my opinion. They are just weak. If I turn that "Diehl" on on "high", it really moves some air. And that's how a fan is supposed to work. Just keep your fingers away from those blades.
Oh that's a really nice noise.
Incredibly quiet

amazing.. how can it be so silent?
where do these old hand multilator fans show up? do people at garage sales have them?
@@BillehBobJoe I bought this one at FanFair 2024, which is a convention ran by the Antique Fan Collectors Association (yes, that is a thing, there are thousands of fan collectors out there), however they can be found at garage sales sometimes, you’re most likely to run across fans like this at antique stores, though.
How old is it?
This would be a killer robot weapon
You mean a weapon wielded by killer robots or a killer weapon used against robots?
I have one of these. Crazy powerful.
I like it. Have you thought about putting this on the standard electric UAX3 system yet.
I am not sure I will. I decided to just keep that system at one horn but if I ever decide to update it I’ll consider doing so

at a certain point why have a grill at all 😹

Adrian? I find it funny that it wasn't a Faraday system as Lenawee county was the home of that company. this coding reminds me of an old SimplexTech video of an IBM 4200 panel.
@@neohistoryfan1014 Yeah I found that funny too, also turns out the switch on the interface plate was bad, so I swapped it for a new one and we have supervisory back!
