@@TopCheeseCustoms it gives it the feel of being at an actual bar. You buy them in different lengths and elbows but the top part you have to put some polyurethane on it because at some point someone will spill a beer on it and you want to keep it clean and smooth

Appreciate the kind words! It was fun to build, hard to sell it though but we used it lots while we lived there! In the process of building the next one, have more square footage to work with this time so should be pretty awesome when it’s done , however I set the bar pretty high lol

Very nice and finally someone that doesn't have a million autos from babe ruth and every hockey superstar lol. All I want to know is what dumpster are all the leafs stuff in??? Loved the leafs for over 30 years and talk about a disappointment and matthews jersey is now in the bathroom used as toilet paper.

Just stumbled across ur channel by happy accident. You do clean work my friend. You have obviously upgraded in terms of house size, but man did I love your old bar! First thing I thought of when u said what do I do with this big space, and a epic play room is probably the prudent thing to do, was an awesome movie theater room. Space is perfect for it, imho. Look forward to the updates bro 🤘🏻
Thanks for the kind words! The old bar was hard to sell that’s for sure but I like the challenge of building a new one! Previous owner had that room set up as a makeshift theatre and you’re right the space is perfect so that was my first thought as well but I really don’t watch that many movies so feel it would be under utilized. Some progress has been made on the rest of it though will have to make an update video soon, thanks for your insights !

Actually where I got the idea you’ll probably laugh….I was watching Rocky 5 I thought it was, anyways there was a scene where Rocky was talking to his son in the kids bedroom and he had a fish tank built above his bed ..I thought wow that’s pretty cool , plus I had a huge tank in my room growing up. So I thought why not build one in my reckroom..! It’s not my idea, it’s just a cool idea I copied from whoever thought of it!

Haha yea we moved, lived there for 6 years, basement basically finished for probably 2 of them so we got to enjoy it. Onto a bigger and *hopefully* better mancave now, I share my plans for it in the more recent video, cheers mate!

I think the wall in front of the bathroom door , would have been to block the view into the bathroom from the main room , when the bathroom door was open. Looking fwd to seeing the finished room.

Appreciate the kind words! Certainly added value to the home , I’d say it probably cost roughly $30,000 CDN all said and done, but we did 95% of the work ourselves. I’m keeping a better tally of costs on the new basement, stay tuned!
