    Oh, sheer line curtains would be nice, too. Or maybe lower those lace panels so they don't look so skimpy :) And if you don't cut the vintage lace you can -use it to drape along the top :)

    The world as we know it will disappear if people just go online and purchase all-I-need-hauls. There is magic in slowing discovering what you need next and not buying all at once, and also in buying directly in person to someone, as you said not everything is online, from artists to makers to antique dealers. Your curtains are lovely. ❤

      Yes! And the same applies to decorating / organizing the studio space - it needs slow discovering what you need next to become a genuine, functional and beautiful space ❤️

      @@mieles2.0 I’m testing the medium gres, they say it’s usable on the wheel, but it’s pretty rough on my fingers on the wheel after a while. It’s great for sculptural work, and trimming through it is really nice. But I’d recommend trying the fine gres if you’re hoping to use it on the wheel 😊

    Your studio is looking divine, Issey! You've done an amazing job and I love the lace curtains. I had a similar issue with "wondering eyes" from people passing by studio. I ended covering the windows and door with frosted vinyl, as to allow light in, .. but no peeping toms. 😋

    • @j_mapelle_nee
      @j_mapelle_nee 12 днів тому

      Just a thought and to add to the comment above on the *valance… rather than cutting, wouldn’t you benefit using the full length of the fabric for extra gathering? This would double over in thickness too to afford you the ‘privacy’ you are after. The thinner the fabric the more transparent the less coverage, which is unavoidable with lace being such a sheer fabric to start with. But extra fabric promotes extra gathered thickness thus more opacity. Just a thought. bisous X

    Hi! I would like to know why do they have mirrors in the studio? what are they used for Love your videos ;)

    • @issey-roquet
      @issey-roquet 26 днів тому

      It’s to protect your back from having to bend over to the side or backwards to see the profile of your piece. The mirror reflects at an angle so you can just gaze over at the reflection of the piece on the wheel while sitting straight. Over time it saves your back from being in uncomfortable positions for too long 😊

    Yet the olive green was indeed delicious. My pick of the bunch (I must be going through my “green phase” of my life à la Picasso ‘Blue Phase’ but vert). But your final pick of the Boudreaux burgundy certainly is divine in its own right! For your space, however, the green and even that off-white tile appealed to me the most, personally anyway. But who am I to contradict?! Either way I think your studio will be oh soooo cuutteee, Issey!! The lime plaster is top notch, magnifique 👌🏾 I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your episodes ✨🩵🤍 ‘spechly numéro trois (oui, oui, I am French speaking too.
