First results in search of the journal shows an article titled : "EVOLUTION and the latitudinal diversity gradient: speciation, extinction and biogeography" and another article "Latitudinal gradients and geographic ranges of exotic species: implications for biogeography" with the sole writer in the Sax Department of Ecology, EVOLUTION and Marine Biology, University of California, Santa Barbara, CA 93106, USA... The journal has over 20 more articles with that in their title. HIS journal basically. We can dismiss the bible, on the other hand because ZERO of all discoveries ever made were predicated on scripture.

I find it ironic he said that unbiblical men are a threat when he said that God gave three ministry gifts to men, where in Ephesians 4 it clearly says there are five ministry gifts. Cessationists are a threat to unity because they have a form of godliness but deny the power.

He definitely has a point. People also rely far too hard on their pastors/preachers/vicars/priests. They turn up and passively sit through a sermon and worship, talk about the weather/how work is going, then go home. I am extremely blessed with a great church, but I don't think anyone has ever talked to me about the sermon afterwards. In turn, the pastors are stuck relying on tradition, and the systematic theology passed down to them in Bible seminary. Many cling to their "Reformed theology" rather than letting the bible speak for itself. Or maybe they follow the feelings of spiritual experience and ignore clear biblical teaching. We need to return to God, and to His Word. So many are trapped by their traditions and in error, following their reformation heroes, blind to their many faults.

The first man who spoke about the issue in Soweto and the risk of some possibly falling away as they find it difficult to surrender their lifestyles to Christ. This is so beautiful to me as it reminds me of the Discipleship and love that Paul had for the church. He wasn't just interested in evangelizing, and moving on. He was interested in their growth, how they lived and made an effort to go back and visit them, write them letters etc. Preaching is only 1 part of the ministry and thats why these mega churches are such a problem. They do not even know the names of their flock, let alone what issues they face. Many smaller churches in many locations, I think thats the way.

Amen Mario, for far to long, decades now, the face of Christianity in South Africa has become Pentecostal, Prosperity, and New Age Charasmania. We've adopted that cheap American televangelist style preaching and sadly 95% of the churches in SA and into Africa are peddling a false gospel for financial gain. God bless the work you carry out faithfully each day, for Gods glory alone. We have our work cut out for us in reclaiming and proclaiming the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and bring reform to Africa.
