Changing from Ascent to Descent or from Descent to Ascent is an essential basic technique in rope access and forms the basis of many other maneuvers. This video demonstrates how to changeover from ascent to descent and vice-versa.

It was just because the rodeo was in town and the Audio Team called out the change. Normally we would never have to do a drift like this. Does that answer your question?

So cute watching rope access kids in loose fitting harnesses doing a simple task. Maybe one day someone will teach them how to put a harness on properly. 🙄
Maybe if you’re good enough, you don’t need a harness at all….
I’ve walked, climbed and scooted steel structure 70 stories in the air hundreds of times without a harness or lanyard and I’m still here bragging about it.
