i honestly dont understand how anyone can like bellara. taash is different story, i understand people hate her for obvious reason and i know why people like her (for similar reasons). though i clearly lean towards one side i understand the other when it comes to Taash, but i dont understand how anyone likes Bellara. She is complete idiot and 90% of her dialogue is adlib of said stupidity. "oh i dont know." "oh my god ahm..." "hmmmm, oh" "uh oh" "oh no". every cutscene she is in looks like only reason she is there is to fill the dumb bimbo role. Even the scene with isabela, instead of having taash getting upset for being mispronounced they use Bellara to be the one getting worried about what isabela did, getting upset and offended for someone else and then follow to act like completely ignorant fool asking questions to allow the game to dump exposition at players. "oh we are not explaining it to players, we are explaining it to this useless and completely dumb character". every cutscene with her made me want to cut myself. "oh sorry, just breaking things" "i need a nap". and worst of all i as a player must agree one way or another with all this bullshit instead of telling her to get a grip and be useful or i dont need her in my party because of how stupid and lazy the writing is and your choices literally dont matter. Even her companion quests only showcase even more how basic she is as her "knowledge of artifacts" is not that different from every other veil jumper. She is apparently best one there is yet all we learn about her is all the failures she made. Seems to me the most generic veil jumper has better grasp of reality than Bellara and would do her job better than her. And dont let me start about her simping for Neve or fascination with everything. I refuse to take her with me yet game constantly force her in spite of my decisions. from the moment i got 3rd companion i never picked her other than to see her stupid companion questline. Yet it doesnt matter who i choose to come with me to recruit emmrich Bellara is always the one who comes with me in cutscene. They are so incompetent and lazy that they couldnt bother making different cutscenes based on who you choose to come with you. Instead they make single cutscene with random companion they think is important and then pretend like that did not just happen and you start off with party you chose. Seriously i wish we can just kill her off and be done with her, she is terrible
Murdering the universally loved puppy is such a bold durge move that I feel compelled to subscribe.
@@EpifanesEuergetes Appreciate it 😂
It's not a great game by any means, but it would be a decent game if it wasn't for the writing and dialogue. The kind of people who skip dialogue could still have fun with this game, but for the rest of us it's an eye rolling and cringe simulator.
@@sheogorath1374 I agree. It's the writing and dialogue that kill it the most.
Bg3 is actually a sequel to baldurs gate lol
@@XxW4RB0RNxX Yes I know. But people say that BG3 is like a spiritual successor to Dragon Age: Origins. Now after Veilguard has come out, I definitely see what they mean since Origins and BG3 share more similarities than Origins and Veilguard.
Naaah, maybe in name and that is said by someone who loved all BG games but it is more close to Origins than Baldur's Gate 2 Also no contiunity from previous games because WOTC Amell sht
Love Inquisition, cause of the different locations and the hours i could spend lost in them,! The companions quests and romances are all fantastic! II: Repetitive but for me they delivered Great story and Companions that were like nitroglycerin! I remember finishing Origin with great satisfaction. Gory, Dark, Epic and for me in the DA series the best combat skills! You can do crazy devastating builts with Inquisition, But! Great video. You should play DA Origins to Inquisition! You will have lot of fun and your choices will carry to the next game
I do plan to play the entire series beginning to end! I'm waiting for II to go on sale to pick it up.
Yes. There is way too much padding imo. Why do these side quests take like minutes to do, make me go back to the lighthouse to get the next part of the side quest, just to take me back to the same previous zone? Also they regurgitate information as if we're toddlers with short term memory loss. It got to the point I started skipping dialogue because most of it didn't matter. I also switched to storyteller just to get through the game faster. The combat is not perfectly designed. I agree. It feels like they were trying to match other action games but the dodging and parrying were not satisfactory. I ended up missing a sidequest because i also didn't realize you had to keep refreshing the stupid hub area by leaving and returning to see there were any new exclamation marks. 😔 We all know the dialogue is cringe or nonsensical logic wise so I won't even bother going into full details lol...
@@hyceate-p The repetition is so annoying lol. Like my memory isn't the best but it's not THAT bad like come on. The only reason I don't skip dialogue is because this is the only time I will play this game, so I'm like I might as well get the full experience. And yeah the combat had potential but it fell flat and just got annoying and repetitive. I did hear that you have to keep refreshing the hub which is annoying for such a linear game 😒 and yeah the dialogue is such millenial cringe 😭
@@TheLastCin I was so upset about missing that companion quest because of the whole ending thing but at this point 50 hours on, I don't care anymore. I can watch the good ending online. 😭 I don't want to play this game again. At least I got my really short romance scenes. 🙃 I think I would have enjoyed it much more if I also didn't have to repeat so many puzzles during exploration in the early hours. It felt like 30 hours of gameplay was just trying to clear up blockage in the maps. 😭 Again, it just felt like unnecessary padding.
@ I watched all of the romance scenes and they are so boring. It even made me change my mind about romancing Bellara and switch to Neve instead because she actually acts like an adult. I also hate the puzzles. I feel like they add nothing to the game and just feel like stupid busy work. I don't get how people already played this game more than once because I couldn't 😂
Honestly some really good takes.
Thank you!
Take my subscription. Im an old timer that loves old rpgs. Bg3 was amazing for me. Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 were the reasons why i liked bioware. I stopped buying their games after inquisition, and finally caved to buy veilguard. I pawned it for 10 bucks after 15 hours. Its not the same game series i loved when origins released while i was still a teenager.
@@TheBlackLightMan I have Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, but haven't played them yet. I will eventually. Damn sucks that you actually bought it and didn't even get your full money back. I don't think this game is worth more than $20 tbh.
Without meaning it in any mean way, since you barely played DA before, you are who this game is for (for some reason). It is a heavy disrespect to day 1 fans that started with and loved DA:O and waited 10 years for another game just for the game to completely ignore the existence of DA:O and 2 by not letting you pick the choices you made or the fate of your Hero of Ferelden from DA:O. Despite important Warden things happening, your Warden from Origins is basically nonexistent. It gets much worse but it would be a spoiler
@@Ceivous I agree with everything you have said tbh. Even though this game is made for people like me, I still understand why day 1 fans hate it and I agree with them. I hate how all of the choices feel like they don't matter.
True, in my opinion, they should have brought back the hero of Ferelden, Hawke or the Inquisitor as the player's background choices and brought back a mix of old characters for companions.
I disagree with this take if if they made this game based on the previous choices of 3 games it would of ruined the story and been more about choices of the past games then being its own thing. Like seriously if the 3 past protagonist were in this game it would muddle the whole thing and been more about cameos more than anything else.
@@MEBOLOR That would be fine if it was any other game. But BioWare’s selling point has always been about building your own story. Many of day one BioWare fans have had multiple dragon age keep entries waiting for this game to play out all different stories they built and see them to the conclusion. And BioWare used to have compentent writers, Mass Effect and many possibilities and they fulfilled almost every possible choice the players would have made throughout their games. So to say that it would muddle the game, would be that the wrong people were hired to make this game. It would have been a lot of work sure, but all they had to do was explain that it would take longer to complete. And not every decision needed to be carried across, just those in the Dragon Age Tapestry and even then not every choice they required carrying over.
@@gggris2960 No Bioware has always been about telling THEIR OWN story, while setting up the player to play as the main character in said story. You can't compare dragon age to mass effect because its the same protagonist for all 3 games and even then in mass effect they negate choices in the previous games when its convenient for them like the bug queen choice, Garrus being forced to be your friend even if the player did not like him, the companions being replaced with diet version of them if they are killed off. Not all choices in the keep were even that important and even if they were carried on to the next game had little to no pay off in most instances. This game is about Rook's story and the only relevant thing from the past game is solas we don't need know the divine or who drunk from the well because that's not relevant to Rook's story. We are also in the North now so the south choices should not be popping up every second in this game. I get OG fans are mad, but this game answer's question across all the other games and concludes. Its a completely new that ends its story instead of harping on the past and making it about the previous games.
"At least Karlach was hot" Well, yeah, literally. Her entire companion quest is about how hot she is.
nice take gl
Thanks. Appreciate it.
I just lost my 4th honour mode attempt to her, 2nd time, I never manage to get past her, that bloody Bhaal edict just kills off my party members -.- I can't kill her in 1 turn lol

In my custom mode, I have the honor mode ruleset on.(new in patch 7) But when I met the Bulette, it does not have this new legendary action. I guess the ruleset in custom mode only has the pre-patch 7 legendary features? Sadge.

@@TheLastCin In my encounter the Bulette flew so far, it didn't initiate combat with my party. I have to move close up to trigger combat with it. And the Bulette didn't have the armor like in the video when I trigger the combat.

@@cozmothemagician7243 oh thanks lol. appreciate it. i'm from Florida, so i think that contributes to how i speak.
I love that BG3 lets you have soooo much fun being either good or evil. ⚖
@@cozmothemagician7243 facts. the freedom is why i always come back to this game.
You can bring the bulette near those chickens in the underdark she will attack them and ignore you, that's because she has this trait called territorial and she prioritizes attacking monstrosity-type enemies first. This can also work with the minotaurs there, making this fight doable even at levels 3-4.
@@antonisk.2165 i tried to do that but the damn bulette kept running away lol. that's also why i have a random minotaur in the video because i had to keep chasing the bulette before i could get a proper fight lol.
