As a child in school my art teacher told me a story about her husband being involved in athletics and the long jump, she told our class a story of how he'd fallen ill and been admitted to hospital before an event and against all advice he'd left and compeated anyway. I didn't understand at the age i was the level of competition he was in but it always stuck with me and now later on in life knowing the man she was humbly talking about to our class that day was a top class athlete and how the way she spoke about him that day has made me not given up on so many things, they've both been an inspiration x
