@@Kolljak I wouldn’t say it’s a damageless event, the game just not show decimal values. Bombers at max distance do less than 1 damage and the same can be said for getting shot underwater, bullets can deal less than 1 so if you take enough hits the value goes down by one. According to the speedrun community the best way to verify is by playing on nightmare difficulty because the minimum amount a hit can do is 1 and not a decimal amount. That’s how I was able to verify if the strat for the underwater section was legit or not.

@@dariusheavy9923 well yeah that’s the idea used as a base for their design but because of that logic runners theorized that the lower you go the less damage you take to the point that the game doesn’t consider indicating you about it and it makes sense when you consider that there’s such a thing as decimal damage in dying light meaning that you could take damage and the health bar wouldn’t drop from 100 but that was the wrong conclusion. Whether I take damage or not in that entrance entirely comes down to where I’m looking at, if I look up instead of down it’s a guarantee hit. What I’m explaining is the devs approach to designing it to that logic and how I managed to cook up a strategy with that info.

To be honest this is one of my first tutorials I ever did. Never in my wildest dreams did i thought this video would gain this much traction. You can blame me for doing poorly on this video but making mistakes is part of the process and im willing carry with all the constant criticism because it keeps me grounded despite my success with later tutorials, I learned my lesson, the later tutorials got better and the comments show that fact. Sure getting views is one of the main reasons i pursue content creation but the other main reason was that i realized that i could help others enjoy hard games as much as I do if I teached them the proper way to approach them specially since i've learned how to myself after doing hitless for the past 5 to 6 years. So yeah I sucked then..... Not anymore tho. This tutorial is the only one with a lot of negative comments and I'm ok with that.

No disrespect to Senza cause i love his content but in his own video about dying light damageless he admits he couldn't beat the game without taking damage

@jimmydesouza4375 It’s supposed to translate Spanish to English. My community is mixed so I wanted English speakers to understand what I’m saying when I speak Spanish. It does a poor job but at least is something for now.

@jimmydesouza4375 The flood itself is hard to keep track of, since they’re many and small some can be sneaky and hit you from the sides. As for the flood forms the human versions carry weapons like shotgun and assault rifles which have very high bullet travel and that makes it near impossible to dodge unlike the alien weapons. The flood also likes to rush you down which is the opposite of what I would like to see from an enemy in a hitless challenge.

I have yet to play that one, what did you disliked about it?

@heyblasty8614 the combat first it very arcady the game tries to take itself seriously but every time you fight a zombie and kill it it launches the zombie like a good 15 ft away from you, second and the most disrespectful thing is the night time unlike the first game there was danger at night, it was spooky with all the volatiles that were out chasing you in dying light made you fear the night but in dying light 2 night time there no real threat the hole map in dl2 is like old Town a lot of high buildings and little to no volatiles at all most of the zombie are in the street at night and there is little to no reason to be on the street, maybe to get "chased by a zombie" it just pisses me off and makes me sad as well.

@ damn that’s unfortunate. I do hope they fix that with this next title.

First time I played I think I died then did the "stick to the ground" thing. Second time I played I got obliterated three times in a row. That area is annoyingly pretty RNG heavy

@jimmydesouza4375 There’s been Damageless runs of extra content but not main game until I came along. There was a person who tried doing it by segments but never finished it. To my understanding I’m the first person to do it in a single segment.

@@heyblasty8614 No, there was an actual video of someone who had done it no damage, it stuck in my memory as I had the day before watched Senza's video where he came to the conclusion that being hit in the water section was unavoidable (and that made sense) and this new video got through that section without even being hit which surprised me. It isn't showing up in my history annoyingly (senza's video is still, which means it's not due to time). And it isn't showing up on a search either. Maybe it was faked and deleted? I don't know. It annoys me that I can't remember the name of the uploader.

@jimmydesouza4375 Well if you do get to find it please share, I dont enjoy claiming something that i've not done. Personally i searched and spoke to the speedrun community and the only person there that does damageless stuff is AussieGG and that runner has never done the main game.

Do you know if it is possible to see more than 1 month's worth of your notification history (the bell icon)? I posted a comment regarding the underwater section asking how the poster got through that when senza couldn't and he did reply to me, though I can't remember what he said. If I could see the notification I'd know who it was and what happened to the video. I have checked my actual browser's history but chrome doesn't store anything older than 4 months in its history (annoyingly). But yeah without anything like that it's best to assume I am misremembering.

@@shyper17 It’s a decision making problem, probably staying on her right leg is not on top of your priorities when fighting the boss. Positioning over everything else is what I usually tell to the players I’ve coached. Only attack when you’re on the right leg.

Takes like 1 rebar throw to kill it. They even added a limiter to stop people from oneshotting volatiles so now Aiden can't even do that

I agree crane is stronger but aiden is more athletic (as of mid game) aiden literally runs latteraly to the wall into a dropkick fighting renegades and peacekeeper turning them to dust with a single dropkick and all in a world that's been dying for 15 years in a city where the goons are litteraly melted to their rebar with mutations

Well shit. I did a 6 segment level 1 run no damage run of nioh 2 about a year ago. If you could share the strat that would be great. Even if it isn’t applicable for level 1. That level 1 run unsegmented and dmc 3 normal no item no damage are the two runs I would grind if I ever got the motivation I used to have for games back.

@heyblasty8614 I did bloodborn any% 5 years ago. I don’t have any video proof as I have previously never recorded or streamed basically anything I’ve done. I will probably redo that run recorded first before doing those runs. I honestly don’t think I’d struggle with redoing that run even if it will probably be just as frustrating as before. The run is basically just a resetting to shadows simulator as they are vastly more difficult than any other part of the run. They literally never got even remotely consistent for me lol.

@heyblasty8614 I’m not saying I would actually complete those proposed runs as they are both pretty fucked up runs. I would give it a good go though. Edit: They’re just both runs I want to be done. If somebody else actually completed those runs I’d probably not bother. Another run that was on that list was Super Metroid. Thank god you did that run as I’d most likely have no shot of doing it if I did try.
