Thanks for watching and your question! I think the Skike V9 fire are a good choice. Because of the bigger and wider wheels (8 inches) they are more stable than 6 inch wheels and they perform better on rough terrain I bought them myself a few years ago I love them!

@@outdoorsports6768 I was between that model, and the V9 tour 200. I started comparing the wheels the most and then I learned how basically the 6 inch wheels were more for paved surfaces and the 200 mm ones were basically for any type of terrain. Then I started comparing the v9 fire and the v9 tour and discovered they are basically the exact same skate, but the tour has the multi Tech technology and the fire just has lift. They pretty much do the same thing, but it seems like the tour if you lift your foot 45° or more it will lift. Whereas with the fire, if you lift your foot, any type of degree it’s gonna lift. I ended up purchasing a pair of V9 200 tour today thinking that they’re probably gonna be the best and safest to start out on. I spoke to rollerski, and they advised keeping them fixed for at least 10 outings before going into classic style. Thank you for your reply though. I hope that I made the correct choice. At least I have the 200 mm wheels.

@@ErikDroogh just an ordinary sticky gopro mount, which I put in the middle on top of my helmet. I used a 360 camera, so I didn’t have to worry about the angle. I edited the footage afterwards on my Iphone.

Yes there is. However, these Skikes are well designed that they switch automatically between both styles so you don’t have to lock the heel lift mechanism

Wauw gaaf! De beklimming is echt heel zwaar en steil, dus begin niet te snel! En afhankelijk waar je verblijft moet je er ook naar toe fietsen denk ik? Ik startte vanuit Le Thillot en dan moet je eerst de Ballon de servance nog over. Deze is niet heel zwaar, maar toch.. En op la planche op de steile stukken blijven fietsen, desnoods zigzaggend, want als je op gravel bij 20% stilvalt, is erg moeilijk om weer op gang te komen. Mijn kleinste verzet was 36-28, en eigenlijk te groot en te zwaar, dus kleiner is beter! Succes! En laat weten hoe het gegaan is!

Thanks for your nice comments! Great question! I don’t think that the 145 speedwheels will fit with the V9 fire. You probably need extra spacers. I use them with the V8 which are different from the V9 Besides I think that inline skates are faster than Skikes. Changing wheels with V8 is simple I don’t use speedwheels with V9 because of different dimensions I hope this helps!

Nordic cross skating or roller skiing is pretty unknown in the Netherlands This tour will take place in April www.vasashop.nl/vasa-hoppet.html And this is an event calendar of a Dutch Nordic cross skating club They do have some tours (tourtocht) in May and June I guess it’s open for non members as well

Yes you can, but I would rather choose to skike on gravel roads or hilly terrain.

@@outdoorsports6768 thanks for getting back. Looks like I’m goin to settle for v9s an have a set of hard wheels too so I can train both ways. We’ve got something like 1500miles of rads an trails in the beautiful New Forest to play with an since my accident an subsequent nerve damage to my back, this has so far been the only exercise I can get away with. Trued swimming but, ended up back in hosp again! No10 trip I think. So looks like I’m gonna be a wannabe skier. I’ll keep in touch cos luv the vids an learn so much . Thanks Paul

@@outdoorsports6768 in general, many items on the skike shop are out of stock... It makes me worry about buying something,... And those skates, are plastic made, i saw some video, they "creak" someway during use... Are they durable?

in addition to it, i was searching some user manual about skike v9 in order to understand how it works (they are particular apparel, not all people knows about) but i can't find anything useful :-/ (apart your precious video)...

@@lorenzodaparma393 the V8 are made of aluminum and very well built but heavy The V9 are partly aluminum (frame) and plastic, but I consider them very durable I’ve had no problems at all
