This proves that the father was definitely trying to extort Jackson. What kind of father who is trying to prove that his child was sexually molested says something like “If I go through this, I win big time. I will get everything that I want.” It sounds like someone who was using his child’s friendship with a celebrity to advance his own career and wealth. There have been reports that the father was a non-entity in the boy and his other children’s life before and after this, that he basically only cared about living off his son’s settlement money.

It was worse than DEATH. So either, way, he wins. Chandler destroyed Michael Jackson. His life and career were in ruins. I'm not saying Evan wasn't scandalous or sociopathic about this, but most people would consider suing for 30 mill if this happened to their family. That he felt it was irrelevant that the lawsuit would help Jordan is very telling. It sounds like a guy who was trying to use his son to extort Jackson for money. Reports have revealed that this father made little effort to be in his son’s life before Jackson came along and that since the lawsuit was settled, he was a non-entity in his other children’s lives. Someone who boasts that he is going to win big time if he goes through with a civil lawsuit does not sound like a parent who cares about avenging their child. He would have gone straight to the police rather than to a lawyer to file a civil suit first. His own brother wrote in his book that the father was very mindful about keeping the civil lawsuit ahead of where the criminal investigation was going.
