An angel's tough love song to a dead man. It's not really religious-don't be a literalist-it's all metaphor. This is art. You're the dead person, and the music video is your otherworldly trespassing. Maybe it's a test. This is the third music video for Arika & The Amoebas, the world's first AI band that I'm aware of [a distinction with no reward or recognition]. Awww.. At 2:00 the poor little guy is yawning and dreaming of chewing up people.
Yooo. Nice
They have left the few picture cleaned and conserved , and beside it illustrations and digitally fixed as specialists would expect it to look originally. That would have been a better story and no one would feel strange about looking at it.
Someone must have hit her fingers with a ruler when she presented this washed and flat version as a restoration. They should have called the lady from Ecce Homo instead...
looks fantastic, holds up!

Thanks. Funny, UA-cam put this comment in my "Held for review" bin as if it were potentially offensive. I guess UA-cam doesn't like it when people like my art.
Did you write all the lyrics for this or just edit it? Or, how were the lyrics created?
I wrote them. It's a companion to my short film "Gargoyles VS. Trailer Park" so it tells the story. I am rather proud of the line and title "Calling all Gargoyles".
@@artvsmachine very nice
The Tom Cruise version of this movie was TERRIBLE. The original was a pure classic.
I share you preference.
"America anarchized!" "Canada cremated!" "Mexico next-to-go!"
Page looks like LeeLoo from 5th Element in her first shot!!! LOL
Thanks for watching and sharing your synopsis!
Jules looking rough in this version 😂
Yeah. I didn't know it at the time, but the AI I was using deliberately F'd up celebrities' faces. I tried to fix them in Photoshop before animating them. Nowadays I've found a workaround. Jules is really celebrated in the end though.

What a cool video.
Glad you enjoyed it. There's more where that came from.
You know those face huggers are laying alien eggs in side of you. This is an act of reproduction and doesn’t that make it having sex with your mouth. So it’s not hugging your face it’s FU€K¥NG your face making it a faceFU€K€R right? Am I not wrong?
This is so cool,,,great job guys I’m impressed as hell. The ships, and walkers are so 50’s SiFi it’s an awesome work of Artdeco.
Thanks so much! I had a lot of fun with the different ships, going for a retro vibe, and an array of styles.

When Martians attack Baywatch...
If I made a video with that title and that content it would get 10X-100X as many views and ad revenue.
Robbie sucked
👏as an artist I totally agree. People making this stuff give art a bad rap. It’s so very tiresome
Your Martian machines are better than those that were used in the original movie. As a plus, I do not see any wires on your machines.
A ripley with t & a. , Eat your heart out sigourney
Where?
Ultimately, the attackers were doomed by their exposure to scientology, which was mandated by Cruise as a condition to taking the role.
These are FANTASTIC!
We are not alone.
Things got really interesting, really fast.
Post contemporary is an oxymoron. Contemporary literally means right now. You can't paint in the future...
You know how when someone says "modern art" we think of art from around 1900-1970 or thereabouts. Then we think of "contemporary" as anything from 1970 to around 2,000. Those are just associations with the terms. Then for the newest wave of "radical" art we use "post contemporary" probably just because otherwise art that was "contemporary" has to be recategorized as "modern", and "modern" art as "classical"... I prefer rock music to most art made in the last half century or more, but I make art myself. I'm not one for the BS, either. Though, sometimes I get some art others don't and vice-versa.
Postmodernism is f****** stupid. Hey, look at me! My parents had sex once...
There seems to be really a lot of anger going around. Maybe it's the runup to the U.S. election. I'm seeing far more angry, hostile comments than usual.
@artvsmachine3703 Yeah probably. But my point is what makes someone individually special just because they are doing "art?" Sure, humanity is special. But you don't get to force your ideas down people's throats in public just because you can. In some sense, that is authoritative. And in no sense is that art. It's mental hostage taking. The whole post modern identity is.
Abstract became expression, expression became abstract expression, and then all you are left with is a pile of drugged up people writhing in paint. Don't get me wrong. Context matters. If it is a direct experience, that changes everything. But that doesn't make it commercially viable. Lifestyles change, I like piles and drugs as much as the next, but I also understand the necessity to be understood with language. In fact, the concept of shunning society for the individual identity is laughable since identity and language are intimately linked.
There's good and bad "postmodernism". The good side of the spectrum incorporates popular culture and references from disparate periods and weaves them into a coherent web with a sense of irony. Not surprisingly it often works best with humor. The Simpsons or Futurama are perfect examples. The bad kind of postmodernism rejects reality and the past in favor of linguistic games that amount to little more than mental masturbation. I wrote a long article about what is wrong with postmodernism: artofericwayne.com/2020/02/13/how-postmodernism-has-worked-against-us-2/ Interestingly, when I used to participate on reddit before being banned by the "art theory" "contemporary art" and "art history" subreddits I shared some of my articles. The "art" subreddits I just mentioned all hated my writing and a posse followed me around on reddit and downvoted anything I shared into oblivion. The philosophy subreddit, however, liked my thinking.
Martians had Democrats run their cities into the ground too? Dang. JK, excellent vid
I hear Gavin Newsom is a Martian.
This interesting. Close Encounters Of The Third Kind is my most favourite film of the 1970s. This is good I'm just wandering if the Aliens look kind of sinister. But it's great video . Happy to find this. I'm not sure why your videos are not showing except someone elses 50s style films.👍🇭🇲🦘✌️
Yeah, other people's AI videos get 10X to 100X as many views. Anyway, it allows me to fly low under the radar. Other people are making AI videos for the algorithm and the lowest common denominator. I'm making art and cater to no one and nothing other than my own inner compass.
@@artvsmachine Yes there bis a few around. A few Star Wars some Marvel.🤫🤫🤫🇭🇲🦘✌️

Before I watched this I thought Roy was lucky, now....may God have mercy on his soul.
He'll be fine. Everyone who came off the ship was fine. He'll just need to adjust to the limited diet. They aren't going to have hamburgers on a UFO. It's astronaut food from another planet.
The fact that such ferocious beings (if they were real) do not attack each other proves one thing to me: only evil can keep evil at bay.
Interesting insight in general regardless of my short film.
Warhol is not a flake. He could draw and did beautiful drawings. He has an excellent understanding of color. What he did was help put an end to abstract expressionism. His stuff doesn’t exist in a vacuum. The best stuff was part of the 1960s and reflects and contributes greatly to the zeitgeist of that time.
Are you an artist? I could draw much better than him in High School. His sense of color is milquetoast. He did loose tracings. Did you even know that? Quirky loose tracings were his style. At best they are cute and fashionable without having any gravitas or substance. Boring is an overstatement. They were very light commercial art.
I'm not quoting directly because I can't remember exactly where I heard it... but Andy, in an interview, gave an answer to the question, "How would you define your art?" With... it isn't art, really. It's only a response to the postmodern movement and what people believe they want. I wouldn't do this if people didn't pay me to. There is nothing to it at all.
That sounds about right. He would say things like that which seemed like he was punking the interviewers, but could also very well be true. When asked why he copies extant things, he said something to the effect of "because it's easy". And that can be true as a sort of self-indictment, but also can be celebrated by him, his buyers, and critics as a new and fresh, even radical approach. Whatever sells the most art for the highest prices!
Jerry Saltz is a moron of the highest order. Speaking of morons, Warhol also got into the game with his oxidation paintings. I really like Pollock, but I can understand why he leaves some people cold. I respond to the technical aspects, and his amazing sense of balance. I wouldn't say he's a great artist, but he did inspire great art.
Is the captain Giger himsrlf?
Indeed.
If it was truly an original Leonardo, why sell it? I smell catfish.
Good point, except that they sold it for what a real Leonardo would go for.
Excellent, vaguely famliar....? Love the green Jello - beats mashed potato anytime!
That’s an unexpected surprise, a Halloween film with Arika! The teaser makes me definitely look forward to the premiere.
The Halloween thing was an afterthought. Mostly embracing it to help insure I finish it within a month. This one may go longer, and be my first full on short film by conventional standards. Y'know, not a trailer, music video, or experimental film. No narration.
Yes, I see your point in the difference between this video and the Pulp Fiction trailer. The technology really made the grade. I said that I would watch it and so I have. It's very good, you put in work. I will subscribe and watch more. Going back to the Pulp Fiction trailer, what I really liked was that you illustrated the further journey of Jules. I always thought he'd have went off to be a voodoo child like Jimi Hendrix. Heh eh heh. But kung fu is just as exciting.
Ah, glad you liked that ending. Most people who do these trailers don't change the story. I figure, "why not?" I'm working on a new full-on original short film. Now I have a couple more techniques that just became available. I will be releasing a sneak preview within 24 hours. And thanks for watching, and commenting!
Thorough and well done! 😀
Thank you kindly!

Please share the way you created this film! It’s amazing and fun and wicked at the same time.
Thanks! Ah, the methods were too many and too convoluted to share. I used Midjourney, Haiper, 11 labs, Photoshop, Audacity, Sunio, Udio and Filmora. And my workflow is kinda' nuts, too. Glad you enjoyed it. You might enjoy some of my other AI vids.
Apparently, the aliens have good taste, as they seem to be only after hot women on that beach they landed on. No men in sight!
Gotta hook people so they keep watching or the algorithm will burry the video.
