Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to boarding this ship in November 2025. New subscriber here.
@sharoncruisingscene You're welcome! Thanks for watching. Topher will be on this ship in Mid-December, so stay tuned for a full ship tour.
Where are the turtles?
It was early in the season for them (this was in February). However, we did see about 5 but they don't come across well on the video. Thanks for watching!
This ship 🚢 doesn't look anything like the other video 📸 by other people. I think that this person has the wrong name of this ship 🚢.😮
No, this was the Norwegian Sun...are you watching videos from before the renovation? Or are you confusing this ship with Sun Princess on Princess? Anyways, thanks for watching!
I have a solo inside can I use the studio lounge on the ship.
Thanks for watching. Yes, anybody in a solo stateroom has access to the Studio Lounge. Have a fantastic cruise!
overpriced scam.take fast bus for 79kr instead
Sure...but a bus takes longer. It's only a scam if you don't get any value from it. Thanks for watching.
@@joyfulwanderer.travel Nope.its still a scam.most expensive airport train in europe because the bribed politicians gave monopoly to a foreign company who did not pay any taxes in sweden in 20 years.they have been emptying the tourists pockets since then.95% of customers who does take this train does not pay with own money. They take this scam train. expressbus take only 40minutes to city so its no big difference but for 25% of the price.
Thank you for the amazing video! We are in the same type of room in a couple of weeks and looking forward to this. We have stayed in the DOS on several other ships, but nothing with the two balconies! The only thing I didn't understand was why you can't be out on the front balcony while you're at sea. We've been on several other ship's in the front and never had an issue. Thanks again. The most informative video i've found ever!
Thanks for watching. I'm glad you liked the video. It wasn't made very clear to us either aside perhaps the room is right below the bridge.
❤was happy to find your video, we’re going on the same excursion with HAL in May 2025! Was really to hear the motor start up when you were first paddling too! Noticed everyone had on the same boots, were they issued with the life preservers? Lastly, the description mentioned 1/4 mile walk in, it looked like you walked a heck of a lot more than that. Did you end up going to the Davidson Glacier?
So glad you like it! You're going to have a terrific time! There's an area where you get geared up (life preservers, boots, and paddle). It felt longer than 1/4 mile to us too but that's what they told us. We got as close to the glacier as we safely could.
Hope you had fun as it's good with a little bad weather as it's not that crowded
We had a fantastic time!
This is beautiful!! Is it common for the washer to be in the bathrooms? Or is it specific to this apartment?
In Europe, it is common for your washing machine to be either in the bathroom or in your kitchen...if they have them at all. Not sure about if that's the same in houses.
Great tour video, It was like walking with you. Easy way to get your bearings on where everything is in relation to each other.
@@mokeisfun Thank you so much! That's why I do them this way. It gives you a good sense of the ship and what it could be like when you're onboard. Thanks for watching!
wife and I will be on that ship in September, thanks to you we’ll be able to find our way around
Have a fantastic cruise!
Terrible commentary
@davidhill210 Sorry it wasn't your cup of tea. To be fair though, it was my 1st ship tour video. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for this video!
Thanks for watching! I hope you found the video helpful!
I hope the wildlife people are also teaching not to surround, chase or follow the bears . Problem here in Juneau
They didn't mention it with us but we're on an elevated walkway on this excursion.
Ridiculous expensive.
Undoubtedly but not as expensive as other excursions in Alaska. Thanks for watching!
How many of these rooms are on the dawn?
@@mikemcneil7124 I believe there are 2. One on each side.
Sorry to complain, but horrid choice of music. For me it’s an irritating speed, too intrusive.
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!
I don’t see stairs. From your experience, do you think a person on a power wheelchair can do this activity?
Hello! Thanks for watching. There weren't any flights of stairs...but I recall couple of areas with a couple steps. You should reach out Kawanti Adventures. Let us know what you find out.
Another fun one. You guys rock. ☀️🌊🏝️
Thanks for watching, Jerad!
These are some wonderful places you chose to visit during your Barbados trip😍. Nice footage as well. Like and support from Bangalore
Thanks so much and thank you for watching!
Just got home from sailing on this ship. The cruise itinerary was amazing , staff were lovely and very helpful. We have sailed on the Jade and Gem and really liked them. This was our first time on this size of ship and we did not enjoy it at all, it just felt so cramped . The Garden Cafe buffet was very cramped and the variety of food was not great( we sailed on the Gem in January and liked the food). I think part of the problem was because it’s Alaska late May early June the outdoor areas were not being used much because of the weather. I would not book this size of ship again just too small and cramped.
Yeah, good point about the cruise's location and time of year affecting the feel of the ship. Thanks for watching!
Did you do the Alaska 10 day cruise?
Yes, we did the 10-day.
@@gloriataruc8371 we did the 9 day cruise.
Which excursion company did you use? Wonderful video!
We booked through the cruise line. Thanks for watching!
Best practice is to use 1 dining meal for the both of you each time and go twice! It is open for lunch on sea days too, i think!
That's an amazing suggestion!! Thank you! Also, thanks for watching!
Restaurants Looks empty…
Yeah, it wasn't very busy when we went. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Could I ask what month you were there? Your inch worm comments were hilarious !!
Thank you for watching! We were there at the beginning of August.
Thanks for the quick reply. We will be there July 15th. Not sure if that's too early to see Bears. Trying to decide on this excursion or Neets Bay. Decisions, decisions. Any thoughts you would have would greatly be appreciated!
That particular excursion goes to a place that is across from a natural fishery/hatchery so my guess it has bears throughout the warm months.
Salmon spawning happens between mid-May to early July...so you may get lucky!
Thanks so much!! Crossing fingers we do.
Orient beach is not in phillipsburg. it's on the French side.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this video, guys! We have the same room for a July cruise out of Southampton. Did someone from the ship flat out tell you that you could not use the forward balcony when at sea or was it just a recommendation. In March, we were in one of the Haven owner's suites with a wrap around balcony in March and no one told us we could not use the balcony when not in port. Granted, it's a totally different ship and all but I'm just curious. Also, were you told you had to keep the curtains closed at night due to the proximity of the bridge?
You're welcome! Thanks for watching. If I remember correctly it's on the instructions on the door but also our butler told us. Have a great cruise!
I will be on July sailing also from Copenhagen. To South Hampton. I will hopefully post a updated video of this room🥂 nice video guys!!
@@mikemcneil7124 Hi there! Yes, not being able to use the forward balcony was on the instructions by that door as well as was addressed by the butler. Yes, the buttler mentioned keeping the curtains drawn at night to not interfere with the Bridge's visibility. Have a terrific cruise! Thanks for watching!
@mikemcneil7124 That'll be awesome!
🎉
Thanks for watching, Jerad!
Seems a lot more spacious than I thought it would be.
Exactly what we thought too when we 1st stepped into the room. We were very pleasantly surprised, particularly with that amazing shower.
You inspired me. Now I’m not afraid to go parasailing!
That's great to hear! Thanks for watching!
You guys are so cute thanks for the positive energy!
@@LK-qz7eh Awww...thanks!
So beautiful! Hope you have the best time.
We're having an amazing day! Saint Lucia is a spectacular island!
I got a cruise on this ship that has 4 sea days in a row! Thank you for showing me around.
You're welcome! Thank you for watching! I hope you have an amazing cruise!
We loved it. It was cozy for us. We got to know about 90% of passengers. It felt like family. We did a 12 day trip.
Oh...so glad to hear. If you haven't been on Norwegian Spirit, you should try her. She's our favorite!
Sweet 😊
I just got of the ship today 😢
Oh no, you didn't like it?
Thanks for this tour! I’ll be on this ship in less than 30 days!
Have a wonderful time!
You guys are so cute.
Hahaha! Thanks!
Thank you, we’ll be on the Sun in January, South America
Have a fantastic time!! Thanks for watching!
veri helpful tenku so macka
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sending me the link to this episode! Regrettably, many of these places have been on my "to visit" list but I haven't made it there yet. Definitely Eastern State and Trans-Allegheny are at the top of the list. However, I did manage to make it to Waverly Hills back in the mid-2000s, and the experience was incredible. My favorite story from there was when I was sitting in the cafeteria, just kind of taking it all in. Two guys from the investigation group walked in to join us, and something about them just felt so incredibly off. I told the person I was with "I don't like those guys. I get a bad feeling. Maybe one of them is a bad person, I don't know. It's just a really bad feeling". A couple minutes later we rejoined the main group and those two guys followed. Demonologist John Zaffis was with our group and he asked them "Hey, where's your friend?". They didn't know who he was talking about and said it was only the two of them. John replied "No, I know there were three of you. There has been a man all in black following you guys around all night". I don't know what that was, but I feel certain that it was whatever was giving me those bad feelings. I have smaller moments of experiences from there as well in my Waverly Hills episode. I've been meaning to go back there, but it's a fairly long trip for me. Maybe one of these days!
Thank you so much, Candise!! If you do get to the other locations, feel free to come back and post your experiences! I heard the account you posted above on your podcast and it gave me chills which is what led me to contact you. Y'all make sure to check Obscure Appalachia on your podcast provider or UA-cam if you're into the creepy and paranormal! I'll put the links to both in the video description!
This video is unwatchable. Have you never heard of editing? Walking around the entire ship in real time is excruciating. No need to show every single step around the ship. Also, get a microphone protector because listening to the wind rushing past is awful. Zero production values. You are a waste of internet space. No more please
I think it was great. It showed me some of the venues I'm interested in that no other cruise vlogger or reviewer has shown me in months of researching.
@Juanita-gf4te Thank you for watching!
Great video, I've booked this exact same stateroom #10006 on NCL Star in January. I have two questions : Did you have to pay to stock the fridge and bar? When did they enquire as to what you wanted, was it pre-cruise or only once on the ship? And OK this would be question 3 ... Did I hear you right that you can't use the front balcony unless you are at port?
Hey! Thanks for watching. NCL will reach out to inquire what you want in your fridge (as well as other snacks) prior to sailing. I can't remember how early but I think it was 45 days. It's included in your cruise fare. Yes, you heard correctly. You can't use your forward facing balcony while at sea...in port only. Great questions! Thank you for reaching out!
Was just on this boat August 16th-25th
Awesome! What was your opinion of her?
@tyshandmadesoap384 I absolutely agree! I find I like the older ships. We're going on Viva in February so we'll see how that goes.
I hope you’re wrong! We’re going for 10 days on Oct 20 to Alaska and looking forward to it! I hope I’ll prove you wrong!🙏🙏🙏🙏
Have a fantastic time!!!
“Cramped” to one person is not cramped to another so take those person’s comments with a grain of salt.
Exactly, one person's cramped is another person's cozy.
voiceover in parts of vid with wind? other than that great work🤘
Thanks! I'm going to see if I can add text in that section. Thank you for watching and commenting!!
Thank you for the walkthrough. I’m signed up for an Alaskan cruise on this ship in September and am wishing I’d chosen more carefully. My fault, not NCL’s. I just think this is too big a boat for me with the emphasis on just about everything (especially parting clients with their cash) but nature and scenery.
It is the 3rd smallest ship in NCL'S fleet. To us, it felt smaller than Spirit (the smallest ship in the fleet). Sorry to hear you're regretting your booking. I hope the Sun pleasantly surprises you!
If you want a smaller ship expect to pay 2 to 3 times more for your cruise. Smaller than a 2,000 passenger ship are luxury ships with 300 - 1,200 passengers. I went to Alaska (7 days) on Silversea's Silver Shadow at $5k per person. Very nice but very expensive.
@@Spud-Smith I suspect you’re correct. In any case, I’m here and the ship will be at half capacity, so only me and 1000 other guests, lol! The previous departure encountered rough seas, so a larger ship should be more stable, at least.
I literally just stepped off this boat from a 9 day cruise to Alaska. My wife and i are avid cruisers and that was by far the worst boat we have ever been on. Everything was absolutely terrible. This is not a vacation cruise this is a transport from each port you go to. I highly highly recommend staying far away from this ship. I am even worried about booking another Norwegian cruise just because of this boat. 0/10
Hmmm...I loved the ship. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Maybe the older ships aren't for you. What particularly didn't you like?
😅I hope you wrong I’ll be on the ship for 30 day starting October 20.
@@rodneyscales2648 Good luck with that. My wife and i went for our honeymoon 9 days out of Seattle. Norwegian should be ashamed of themselves for calling this boat a “cruise vacation”. The boat is very small. The food is disgusting and the entertainment is a joke if you can even find any. I really hope you have a better experience than we did but everyone we ended up speaking to on this trip felt the same way.
@rodneyscales2648 Wow! 30 Days!! Performer/Musician? My husband and I had a great time while we were on Sun and had no trouble finding entertainment...but we like the piano players and live musicians.
@@rodneyscales2648 Panama Canal for 20 days on October 30? My wife and I are on that one.
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles…. Good one 😆.
Thanks!!
The haven. Man. Life goals. 😅 You guys are cool.
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing! The sun is fun. Did they have the pools open?
Yep! Both pools and all 4 hot tubs.
👍👏👍
