Video is a little fast for me, but I wondered if you know of where I could get the sheet music to what your playing. With the sheet music I could go at a slower pace and would allow me to repeat parts easier and to see the exact notes that are being played. Thank you for taking the time to video your tutorial....eventually I will learn this.

this is great, thank you for posting. while a 25+ year guitar player, what I was really interested in for this song is the piano that Paul R. plays. I was willing to pay for the original sheet music on piano (belong to several sites, but it is not available?) weird -- guitar/tab only online? anyway, this will help me immensely so THANK YOU.

Pretty much correct except for 2 areas. The intro is played with the D7 chord in quarter notes. It doesn't rock back and forth between the chord and the root of D. Paul Rodgers simply plays the D7 -D7- D7 -D7 -D7 -D7 D7:G. Etc. The left hand is playing the single D note one octave down in 8th notes. The second error is the end. You show playing D Major. It is actually D Minor to C Major. Both Guitars are playing the descending melody of: A G F E D C; A G F E F E; A G F E D C; A G F E D C D E F E D C. That repeats several times. On the live version at Wembley, both Howard Leese and Mick Ralphs play these runs an octave apart. Simultaneously, the piano is playing D Minor, not D major as you assert. D Major is made up of the TRIAD of notes: D - F# - A. If you play [your] D Major chord over the descending guitar runs, the guitars' F (natural) clashes distinctly with the F# in your D Major chord and sounds not only dissonant but annoying.

Dear yayalSyaya, sorry, but you got it wrong. You made some major mistakes starting with the intro whose ending you play wrong. Also, during the first verse there is not a change from A to D, but he plays A7 whole time. Then you didn't play a bridge which is C / D and then to h minor to the "I'm leaving you" pre-chorus. The end of this pre-chorus is in A major, not in C major. Also, in chorus I would prefer not playing D major because tones of guitars with basic D tone of the piano rather make d minor... Try to play it this way.

Hi, and thanks for taking the time to post this. I needed to learn this for my band, and your video was a good starting place. In doing a little more work on the tune, which included watching live performances of BC, I noticed a couple of things you might want to correct though. First, it's not a big thing, but he adds the 7th to the A during the verses. Also, during the pre-chorus, the last chord after the Bm is actually that A7, not C. Lastly, he is playing a D minor to C during the chorus, not D major. I have found I prefer Dsus2 (D-E-A), as it mimics what the guitars are doing, but either will work. Hope that helps anyone else who checks this vid out, and thanks again.

Hi dear, Thank you so much. I didn't really have some sort of notes or score sheets or anything. I just referred to the chords (actually the lyrics, because I didn't memorize them) from a chord website that uses Am, D, G & Em. All of the 'fillers' in between are just some improvisation while playing. I expanded the chords into two octaves. Just play whatever you think sounds good to you. No need to be too rigid. Hi there. I actually practiced mostly by hearing. But I can guide you, the bass line (left hand side) for the solo part: time signature 4/4; starting with A (2 quarter notes) & C (2x), D (2x) & back to C (2x).. Go back to A (2x) & G (2x), and F# (4x). Then repeat from the top. As for the treble (right hand side), I referred a lot to the audio itself & a linked video that I have put in the description. Hope I helped you figure it out as I improvised the notes myself as well. Good luck! x
