Maganda gabi po. I have the same plant at nasa Big pot sya. Blooming sya with flowers and of course, mahaba na mga tangkay nya. I arranged it in a way na hindi mag break yung mga tangkay. Nag tataka lang ako how did you manange to bend those tankay without breaking it?

It is not wise to call it Chinese Taro (or gabi in Tagalog) because people might think that it is edible; but it is not; it is poisonous. The edible taro is called colocasia, which is not the same as alocasia. So be careful if you have alocasia at home; alocasia is not gabi or taro; its roots and leaves are not edible. :-)
