IRELAND TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY | The Great Ireland Road Trip
Join us on an unforgettable hour-long adventure across the breathtaking landscapes of Ireland. In this documentary, my wife and I embark on a road trip that takes us from the bustling streets of Dublin to the serene beauty of Ireland's countryside.
Our journey begins in Dublin, where we explore the historic Christchurch Cathedral and delve into the Viking history at the Dublania Museum. From there, we hit the open road, winding our way through the lush Irish countryside, and visit the peaceful Glendalough Cathedral. Our adventure takes us to the legendary Blarney Castle, where we bravely kiss the Blarney Stone for a touch of eloquence.
Driving through the dramatic Gap of Dunloe, we spend a night under the stars in the secluded Black Valley. The natural beauty continues as we wander through Killarney National Park and explore the ancient ruins of Muckross Abbey. The Wild Atlantic Way guides us along the rugged western coast, leading us to the poignant Irish Famine House and the ancient Dunbeg Fort.
Our exploration doesn’t stop there-we venture into the depths of Crag Cave, learn fascinating stories at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre, and take a magical walk along the iconic cliffs themselves, all while enduring the unpredictable Irish weather. We marvel at the majesty of birds at the Aillwee Birds of Prey Centre before capping off our journey with a night in the enchanting Kinnity Castle.
From start to finish, this road trip is packed with awe-inspiring sights, rich history, and the warm spirit of Ireland. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or dreaming of visiting the Emerald Isle, this documentary will transport you to the heart of Ireland. Join us for an epic journey that showcases the very best of this magical country

This video is fantastic! I am trying to figure out what the weather will be like in April. Can you please tell us the dates you were there? Thanks!
We went the first 2 weeks of October! My first trip I went in February, as cold as it was, it was still so green. That other video is on the channel too. April is going to be fantastic, I’ve heard it’s one of the best times to go, less traffic and just starting to be warm
Please be careful in the forest i almost lost my life one time heres the story When i was 10 in Ireland me and buddies went down to a massive forest and it wasn't human planted . We decided to split up into 2 groups there was 5 of us so 2 in one group and 3 in the other so i was in the group with 2 and we went deep into forest until we came across a little hut made of stick it looked like one of those old Indian houses . and we kept seeing upside town crosses made out of sticks which symbolizes the devil . We went back into the one big group and we went even deeper which wasn't probably the best idea what do u expect we were 10. What we came across scarred me for life it was a hanging trap . basically it works like there is a string and if u walk into it a little knife sort thing slams into your leg and then something like a rock drops onto your head sadly someone had already gone into the trap before i hope no one got hurt from if u have any question u can ask me It happend in Ireland Leinster somewhere around Wexford.
No way!! That’s so freaky man! Didn’t know they could be that scary!!
@@AtlasUnlimited i know it was so creepy
Really nicely done, enjoyed this, great filming and great coloring
Thanks man! We had a great time putting it together!
thanks,cool video
You’re welcome!!
Cool video! You’ll have to come back and visit the north too!
Absolutely! Where should we go first?
Loved your video quality and style! Unlike another commentator I really liked Blarny castle. It was clearly made for protection, and not a fancy Chateau. It was tall and narrow. It was very popular to kiss the blarney stone, but no thank you!
Hahah, yes, Jaycie had to be bribed to kiss it when we went! Loved visiting Blarney!
I love Ireland
Me tooooooo :)
Ireland where Mythology, Legends ,And Superstition, And History Collide. A place of beauty and elegance. I am a mixed heritage person adopted at 5 years old brought up Catholic but not of free choice. We ae all not brought up in families and religions not always of our choics byt we are who we are .but I understand te relgios conflicts in Ireland between The Catholics and Protestants. For Centuries. But i don't get involved in international conflicts of any kind. I want to come to ireland to know my family history culture legacy and heritage to know the people and the towns without fear , Prejudice, Or Hatreds to blind all of us in ways we know are wrong. Its about co existing as a community.
I hope you do get a chance soon, I have family history there too, it feels like stepping back into the lives of my ancestors. It will probably feel like that for you too
@@AtlasUnlimited i hope so as long as things remain peaceful there even though Catholics and Protestants Don't Like each other
I'm not sure about Conor McGregor anymore.
:( too soon
Great doc work. I was expecting just a blog type of video but your production quality is great! Great job!
Thank you! Glad to hear you were impressed by the quality! More to come for sure!
This was FANTASTIC!! I'm over here taking notes for sure, my husband and I are planning a roadtrip to Ireland next spring and we can't wait.
Wohoo! I’m so excited for you guys! Where are you the most excited to visit?
💚🍀
:)
Great scenery....ditch the bimbo commentary
I just love Ireland
Me too :)
Being irish you captured our country exactly . Really enjoyed watching the 2 of ye enjoy our little island
Thank you, that’s all we could have hoped for!
I was in Iceland last summer for 3 weeks. I had an amazing time. Drove 6k kilometers. Lel and it was worth it. WIll be doing going to Scotland next year. I cant wait.
Epic! I’m so jealous, take lots of video!!
Would you be willing to share how much the trip cost you in total? I am in my 70s and my sister and my daughter and I want to go and we are on fixed incomes kind of like to know.
Let me look through some receipts and see what I can find out. For just the Ireland portion I think it was around $2500, we really tried to keep costs as low as possible while seeing as much as possible
We were in Ireland for two weeks drove from Dublin to Galway, Dingle, Kilarney, Kinsale. It's a beautiful country with some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. VISIT IRELAND!!!!
100%!
Fun video, but found it searching for HDR documentaries. Poor use of contrast for HDR. Shadows are too black and highlights are overblown.
Good to know! I’ve had trouble getting consistent looks on each device. What did you watch on?
We're heading to Ireland/Scotland in May...your video was priceless!! Thank you!
Thank you! So excited for you!!
Not that crazy. Theres an entire underground town in Australia because of the constant cool temperature.
Holy cow! What is the city called?
@@AtlasUnlimited its called Coober pedy in south Australia
Dang, that sounds awesome!
You would really have loved the history around the Rock of Cashel and Cahir castle close by , not to mention Kilkenny Castle close too. , I am Irish and I want to hear your narration on everything in Ireland now !!! Personally having lived outside Ireland for many years , I think Ireland is not Ireland without the people, they blend with the experience you didn’t mention them because you were focusing on the mystic Ireland but I think they are the one thing 😉✌️
Love it! Couldn’t agree with you more, we need more Irish folks featured in our next visit! On my first trip with my brothers we visited Cashel, but only were able to explore Hore abbey because of the pandemic. However, I’ve never heard of Cahir castle, I’ll have to check that one out!
Beautiful Video, I am Irish and have traveled most of it , you only touched about 2% of it , but wow what a job you did on that, you are both good Craic in fairness and your passion is infectious, So many even more beautiful places to explore here , you got to come back for two weeks next time ✌️💚☘️
Heck yeah! Hope you are able to make it back soon!
You're welcome
You did the worst parts of Ireland apart from Clare. What are you thinking?
Hahaha what places would you recommend?
This is Beautifully done , truly Inspirational .😇
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it
On my trip to Ireland I spend a whole day hiking along the Cliffs of Moher. Its sooo beautiful.
That’s awesome! Hope you took lots of pictures- you won’t want to forget it!
Peace be upon you. Examples of Islam being the true religion: There are scientific facts mentioned in the Quran 1400 years ago that humans could not have known at that time without technology, and with the testimony of Western scientists, including the British scientist Arthur Allison, who converted from atheism to Islam, acknowledging that only the Creator of the universe can say this, as He alone knows things from the beginning of the universe to its end. Among the existing scientific facts are the explosion and expansion of the universe, the five stages of embryo development, the role of winds in pollinating plants, accusing Islam of violence, and the greatest crimes in history: Hitler was an atheist, France's crimes in Algeria and throwing people alive from bridges and planes, and Israel's crimes in Palestine, but the media does not tell the truth. Islam preserves dignity, honor, and other beliefs. Everything is permissible, even if it is reckless behavior. I will give you a simple example: Islam forbids homosexuality. Let's assume that everyone became homosexual. We ask God for safety. Will we continue to exist as humans? Islam forbids everything that harms the individual, society, health and morals, and does not restrict freedoms as they claim. In Islam, we worship God Almighty without incarnation, images and idols, while others worship gods that they create and imagine with their own hands. Would a sane person do that? The most widespread religion in the world, especially among Europeans, Americans and priests. The irony is that they used the greatest material and human means to eliminate it. Duvern, a Dutch politician who hates Islam, went looking for things that offend Islam, and converted to Islam because he found the truth. Joseph Estes, an American priest, went to convince a Muslim to convert to Christianity, and the Muslim convinced him to convert to Islam. The proverb says: If you see arrows pointed at a certain place, know that the truth is there. They fight Islam because it is against humiliating behavior. Man is generous in controlling actions.
I could not be more impressed with the production value of this video - the shots, the music, the narration. All absolutely engaging and spectacular! Your talent and technical skill are top of the line! Congratulations!
Wow! Thank you so much! That means a lot, so glad you loved it :)
I found you documentary very interesting. Tops marks for a job well done.
Thank you!!
2 comments: (i) Most Irish people have no time for Conor McGregor & consider him a poor representation of our country (ii) There was no famine in 1847, just a failure of the potato crop. There were plenty of other crops & meats (beef, lamb, pork & poultry), unfortunately, the British stole it for export to Britain.
That’s crazy, can’t imagine living through that
So happiness
Thank you :)
Good job on the video guys - glad you'd good time. U are always welcome back. - 🇮🇪 Sadly, Irelands population still has not recovered from the famine. It was a brutal starvation (we still produced a huge amount of food but it was forcibly exported to feed the British while we starved) Think next time u come u shud go to a trad session and mix with locals as it was our music and sense of community that forever lifted us - and lifts us still. 🇮🇪 See u soon!
I love that idea! We are huge fans of Irish music, Archie Fisher is my favorite. Where would you recommend we go to experience something like that?

a very interesting and beautiful video. good luck to you

The population of Dublin and its metropolitan area is two million people, If you take in people who Work in Dublin and have an effect on the Dublin city economy it's close to 3 million....30 Million people pass through Dublin Airport every year, that will give you the size of the Dublin metropolitan economy..........
Wow. Thanks for going into more detail for us! On our next documentary about Ireland, we’ll be sure to add some of this in!
New subscriber from Texas👋. Very Nicely Done video! 👏 We're planning a trip to Ireland in 2025 and this video is SUPER helpful! Like you, my husband has been to Ireland, but it's been several years. I'm so looking forward to sharing this beautiful experience with him.
Wohooo!!! I’m so excited and jealous! You’ll have a blast!!
Curious - what time of year did you guys visit Ireland?
First and second week of October!
Thanks for the video, can you please state what time of the year that you did this to put the weather into perspective? Thanks
Yes! We went in the first and second week of October!
I really enjoyed this! Heading to Ireland next week and this has me so excited for the adventure ahead!

Any idea why the flag was at half mast?
No idea, I feel like it always is now adays :/
Great video, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife and I visited Ireland about 25 years ago as part of a motorcoach tour. We'd love to return and do as you did, driving ourselves. So I have to ask, how was the driving experience for you? I'd be a bit apprehensive of driving on the left.
In Dublin it’s a bit scary, but outside of there it’s not bad. The biggest thing for me was learning to hug the right side of the road as I drove. I never noticed how much I do that with the left side of the road back in the states. Because you can gauge distance better with the side of the car you are driving from- hugging that side keeps you safer. I actually whacked my passenger side mirror while driving my first time in Dublin because I wasn’t doing that. Once I adjusted to it, everything else was pretty straightforward. Would highly recommend
Good to know. Thanks!
Thank You for sharing such a wonderful compliment of what Ireland has to offer. The imagery and narration are fantastic. Truly one of the great independent documentary films I’ve seen in a while.
You are so amazing, my wife and I are currently going through medical treatment to be able to have kids and things like this really help. God bless!
This was amazing. Thanks for sharing. Planning our trip now.
Wohoo! So excited for you!
very good work guys I like it, you won a subscriber, there is a lack of people doing this about European countries, focusing on Europe.
Thank you! I want to rekindle the love for the old European cultures and traditions. Nowadays people seem to be ashamed of them for some reason. I hope we can shed some light on this forgot beauty.
