Thank you very much. This is still helpful, even in Nov 2024. Using dompdf 3.0. I found the 'chroot' in 'dompdf\vendor\dompdf\dompdf\src\Options.php' so.as opposed to 'Cache.php'. I hope this is helpful also.

Assuming that you're using php and you're on Windows operating system. If, after following these steps you find an error, to solve it you must go to your php.ini and uncomment the "extension=gd". That enables dompdf to visualize images! To the maker of this video I thank very much!
