What if I have the spring out how do I put together then
Yikes. That might be a need for a replacement. I have not experienced the spring coming out like that. based on where that is located, I would say a new one would be your best solution. You can find them here on my website and they come with a 5 year guarantee. Here is my website in case you decide it is time to do that: www.pamperedchef.com/pws/cheriebeasley/shop/Kitchen+Tools/Specialty+Cutting+Tools/Food+Chopper/2585?queryID=16cd76d536114502dede851532f164ee
That's what I do but I don't have a dishwasher. I don't like that mine is white where yours is Grey. I use my weekly for a lot of carrots. That makes it worse when your a perfectionist like me. Sometimes I don't wash it because I am too tired. I live alone. It the best tool. I'm using it for.my vegetable salad toppings now instead of a chopper.
Yeah carrots do stain quite a bit. Since yours is white, there are some things you can do especially if you don't clean it right away. 1. Make a mixture of bleach water: 3 TBP bleach to 1 cup of water and our this over the stained area. If you can submerge it somehow this is best, but a pour over a few times tends to work as well. If you can submerge and soak, do so only for about 10 minutes or so. Then rinse thoroughly. 2. If you are not a bleach fan, you can make a paste of baking soda, toothpaste (I know, weird but it works) and smear that on the stained portion and give it a scrub with your favorite old toothbrush or other kitchen brush. Let it sit for 15 minutes or so. (I often let it sit for longer because I forget and move on to another task. 🤣) When you return, set it in a pan or a bowl and pour vinegar over the paste and give it a little scrub while doing so. This will usually pull some of the staining out. I hope these tips help. Let me know if you need additional ones to try. Best of luck and you are right, a mandoline makes so many more shapes than a chopper which allows for some great variation of texutre in your salads and other dishes. Happy Cooking.
@yourkitchensage thanks. I had a sink with soap and a little bleach for something else and just got it wet and used wet brushes. Then I realized I could try baking soda on . I did this walker but thanks for the response.
Does not matter what's your age but u looking sexy ❤❤
Today you became my hero!
Glad it helped.
So it should turn by itself?
Are you asking me if it is electric and you can hit a button and make it chop on its own? 🤔
@@yourkitchensage No I’m asking if it turns while you chop.
Mine is absolute garbage, it’s extremely dull and can’t even open a tuna can, I don’t know if it doing something wrong but mine only makes tiny indents in the lid
Hi Random_cougartherian, I am sorry to hear you having trouble with your can opener. Not sure if you are doing something wrong or not. It is hard to tell without seeing you use it. If you want to send me a video of you using it, I might be able to diagnose the problem with you. Let me know if you want to persue this. You would email it to cheriebeasleypc@gmail.com and then we can chat about it. Without seeing you use it, it could be that you did just get a faulty one. This happens sometime in the manufacturing process. This I might be able to tell too with some video from you. Thanks for letting me help. Not sure how long ago you got this, but we do carry a guarantee on all of our products. This one has a 3 year guarantee against manufacturer defects. Let's chat more and see if we can get this fixed for you.

How does it dice?
@@candiustruscott351 you can get a dice effect by resending the julienned slices back into the hopper. On the whole though this tool is for slicing large quantities not so much for dicing.
@@yourkitchensage thanks!!! The pic on the large knob was a little misleading…
@@candiustruscott351 It is showing two thicknesses of julienne, one is thicker and one is thinner. Using either you could julienne and then gather up and run it through again to get a "diced" size. I prefer to use the food chopper or a knife for dicing. I have more control over the size that way. 🤷♀️
Good work?
You do demonstration videos very well!!! Thank you😊
awe. Thanks. I am glad that it helped. Do you have the mandoline yet? It has been one of my faves. :) My friend below calls it the choppy choppy device. LOL.

That’s such a great idea…speed popsicles…kinda like the frozen marble slabs at Coldstone Creamery…the fact that the popsicle box is pre frozen really speeds up the process. No waiting around all afternoon to get a frozen treat.
exactly. My favorite is that I can make them out of anything laying around. It makes it great to use up leftover things for something delicious
I wish there was one gadget for everything!
It would be nice. It is not that we can't use one tool for lots of things. I have found though that the right tool does make a difference in cooking and in building. I will see though my overall go to is the rapid prep mandoline because it does lots and eliminates lots of tools. ;) Check it out in my videos. I love it so much it has its own playlist lol.
Thank you this helped me
Fantastic to hear. I am so glad. What flavor are you making? 🤔
Turn your tomato cut side up so that the blades are cutting into it from the precut side.
Absolutely. that is a great point. My caution is more for the inital cut. :)
Do the plastic bags also help marinate the chicken? Like putting them in the refrigerator overnight before cooking them?
Yes. You can use them in the fridge or the freezer to marinate ahead of time. I usually do this to save time. I cut and marinate the meat when I get it home so that it is easy to pop in the sous vide as needed.
Great tip
That’s a great idea
Can cheese be slice or grated?
not with this mandoline. We do have tools that are helpful with this though. My fave for softer cheeses like Cheddar is this one: www.pamperedchef.com/pws/cheriebeasley/shop/Kitchen+Tools/Specialty+Cutting+Tools/Adjustable+Coarse+Grater/100481?queryID=c01100c79ec05a2aa4957000a75b9365 If you want one for harder cheeses, like parmesan, I usually use our microplane zester. 🤣🤣 www.pamperedchef.com/pws/cheriebeasley/shop/Kitchen+Tools/Specialty+Cutting+Tools/Adjustable+Zester/100482?queryID=dc7431528913d0c5191dc27a9a3dee2f

I am so glad.
If it has suction cups why does it move when using?
Good point. I have it sitting on top of an older cutting mat that has lost some of its sticky and that is what you are seeing move. Thanks for pointing this out. I will post another one without the mat so that you guys can see it stay still. :) I will post it here in the comments when I have it done.
Thank you so much for this clip! I was looking at this item during a Pampered Chef Facebook party and nothing says about it doing vegetables! I was thinking of using it for prep for salads, such as cucumbers, carrots, celery. And when I saw you slice that cucumber...I thought "a ha!" 😅
Fantastic. I love it for salad prep particularly for one person meal prep too. I am so glad this helped and thanks for leaving a comment. I really appreciate that!
Полная шняга не советую
I am sorry that you were not pleased with this. We do only sell this one in the United States. Is it possible that you got a version that is not Pampered Chef?
I have yet to see diced with one of these style mandolines. Diced is little cubes vs. matchstick.
You are correct. A mandoline traditionally is used for slicing of various varieties. Dicing is a different kind of cut that starts with slices, but is not slicing really. You can achieve a dicing affect when you reload the hopper with your sliced items and then choose the same setting again. I would suggest though that if dicing is what you desire as an end result that you use the food chopper. Here is a video about that tool: ua-cam.com/video/ZMDlN1iEUV0/v-deo.htmlsi=XcZcbaT5GgD1pBOt Let me know if you have any other questions or need more personalized help based on what you are trying to accomplish. Are the on the go bowls vacuum insulated? The website only states double walled but not double walled vacuum insulated like the white ones... curious if that is an oversight on the website or if that is different.
Great question. The on the go ones are vacuum sealed. Actually they have an added feature of the vacuum sealed slide that allows them to be leak proof as well. I have a video showing this on Instagram where I pick the bowl up by the edge of the lid only. Not sure if you are on that platform. instagram.com/reel/Cth4U0OAy1b/?igshid=MTQzdTJuZmlhcHE2MQ== I may need to recreate the video because after looking for the original video for about 15 minutes and going down a "oh I remember that spiral," I almost forgot to come back here and finish this comment. 🤣 🤦

How do you make your creamer….i make almond milk but I like my coffee creamer a bit thicker
I have found that cashew milk comes out creamier than almond milk. The store bought kind usually adds carageen or other additives to get it creamy. You can do a combo of cashew milk and almond milk which will help the creaminess factor. This recipe is also delicious: www.pamperedchef.com/pws/cheriebeasley/recipe/Beverages/Deluxe+Cooking+Blender/Combo+Milk/1552089
@@yourkitchensage thank you….I have bought several”milk machines,” and I currently use a Nutri Milk machine….I could easily use half cashews and half almonds to make it creamier…after I watched your video a couple days ago I made more almond milk…..and just saved some of it in a glass jar for my creamer…it works great….I love your videos…. I’m thinking about getting the French fry slicer next…I really don’t have room for anymore gadgets but it will be so much healthier to make fries from scratch
@@teresawinchell4994 great to hear that you have a tool to do that that you love. There are so many great tools out there and it is always about finding the ones that work great for you. :) Glad those tips worked. Yeah I get it on the room for gadgets. It is one the more challenging things about being with PC for so long. :) I do love the ones that do multiple things well. I am a proponent of having the right tool for the job, but when one tool does multiple things well, it is definitely a win. Healthier fries is definitely a good reason and what I have found too is that we have enjoyed lots of alternative fries like using turnips, parsnips, beets, etc. There is something really fun about that french fry shape with lots of veggies that makes it fun and food should be fun! :)
How would you dice a 🥕?
Hi Hazel, I missed your comment somehow. Forgive the delay in response. It is best to use the julienne setting and then set the number dial to a size between a 2 and 5 depending on the size dice you want. Then you would feed the while carrot through and then gather the slices up and then feed them through again on the same setting and that should give you a good dice. I have added this to the list of things to demo with the mandoline so stay tuned. :)
@@yourkitchensage 😀 No problem. Looking forward to it.
Why not just put them in a bowl and save the use of a plastic bag?
You could. This is just another way. The bag does save a little space in the fridge. It is really just preference.
Do the potatoes soak up more water overnight or do they reach their maximum saturation after 20 or so minutes?
Hi, I can’t get the rim to clamp together. I was able with to align the blades but not close

Absolutely! Any veggie or fruit would do great!
So onions?
Absolutely
