A strange but delicious assignment. The brown butter really does change the whole experience.😄 Here's what I used: 115g unsalted butter 135g puffed rice cereal 1/2C toasted, shredded coconut 10g lemon juice 1g salt 5g vanilla 280g marshmallows Optional: whatever add-ins you'd like.... chocolate, nut, dried fruit, candy, etc. This is a no bake recipe.
Dark Chocolate Brownies
Переглядів 2935 місяців тому
We are now on the sweet treats section of pastry school and the topic is bars! Today I make a standard dark chocolate brownie and they really were perfect. Of course you could make these thicker by using a smaller pan. I used a 9x13. You can also customize brownies with whatever flavors you desire. Guten Apetit! #rouxbe #thefrenchpastryschool tasty.co/recipe/the-best-fudgy-brownies

Quail Eggs In Hash Brown Nests
Переглядів 1495 місяців тому
A simple lazy day lunch. I needed to use up a container of quail eggs and decided to give this recipe a try. It was yummy but certainly could have benefitted from a side of bacon. 😆 I'm a lover of eggs, and other than their petite cuteness, I noticed no difference between the taste of these and chicken eggs. Now duck or turkey eggs... a whole other experience. 😍 www.jocooks.com/recipes/quail-eg...
Lemon Pound Cake

Another pastry school assignment: the humble pound cake. This cake was delicious, and I can only imagine the varieties one could make with this base recipe.... vanilla, orange, lavender, cardamon, etc. vintagekitchennotes.com/lemon-lime-pound-cake/#tasty-recipes-12118-jump-target #rouxbe #thefrenchpastryschool

This is a long one but I combined a tour of my front and back garden. I hit the highlights, as covering every plant would take hours! I'm gardening in Kalamazoo, MI, Zone 6a, and this is my third season of having a front yard garden and my fifth season of the backyard garden. Enjoy!

Tarte Aux Quetsches (Plum Tart)
Переглядів 626 місяців тому
I was tasked with making pâte sucrée dough for pastry school and am using up the last to make this plum tart that gave me a whole new perspective on what one can create with plums!👩🏾🍳 Thank you Chef Pfieffer! Correction: I listed vanilla as an ingredient, but it was a cherry liqueur (kirsch) that I used. You can use any liquor-based flavoring you'd like. www.allrecipes.com/recipe/282591/plum-f...

What do you see the pros and cons of each
Missing you my friend
What plugs do you buy? I’ve been growing my own seeds in Rise’s seedless pods.
Absolutely 💯 💯 beautiful

Need to try this recipe
No salt
You forgot the cheese, sour cream, onions, chorizo, bbq sauce, mayonnaise, toast, orange juice, and coffee.
Looks excellent. I just watched another omelette video yesterday and they also manipulated the eggs after pouring them into the pan - something I've never seen before or done. Yours looks better though. Great job.
Thank you! A French omelet is stirred constantly until almost set. It creates a small curd and a custard like interior.😊
@@gardentotablewithrose Awesome. I'll have to try that. Thanks!
Corn beef is brined in salt. Boiling it helps remove a lot of the salt. I’m curious, was it salty? My thought would be by doing it sous vide it would be too salty, because none of the salt would have a chance to escape.
It was no saltier than deli meat. I usually buy the low sodium version.🙂
❤ beautiful, great job, hard work..
Thank you!
What are the Little Rock wool covers for? Stop algae?
Those are the cubes. They are grown in that medium.
❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️
Love it
Thank you!
Love your videos, I just got my 3.0 and you have been so helpful! Thank you!
I am glad they were helpful. Happy gardyning!
❤this information is very helpful!
Now we are down the road.. do you still like this and like it? I plan on basically just doing leafy greens and herbs as I love sandwiches and love to cook :). How was cleaning it? Thanks for the video!
I'm still enjoying the Gardyn, but cleaning it was a nightmare. Those columns separate into 6" pieces, which all had to be scrubbed due to deposits. I'm favoring my Rise Garden a bit more.
Thank you! I was trying to find out: Gardyn or rise for the capacity. This helped!
This was a great unboxing, thank you.
What type of water did you use? Well? City tap? Distilled? Filtered?
Thanks for sharing. Are you still unhappy with the product?
I am not a fan of the rise garden. I have been using the gardyn and prefer it. I will continue to use the rise, as it was expensive, but I would not buy it again.
It's grown on me. The app is useless, and the pods are overpriced. I'm having success using grow plugs and my own seeds. I like it more than my Gardyn now.
Wonderful garden tour! The garden design with the beds all along the edges of the yard is very practical. Love the variety of plants. I really enjoyed seeing your garden!
Thank you! Once the plants are mature, it should really be something.🙂
I loved your video, you are a wonderful person, new subscriber a cordial greeting from Mexico City Congratulations👏👏👏
Thanks!

Beautiful garden.I think those small pink flower is Phlox ( at almost at the end of the video)
Yes, the tall purple flowers are phlox which I must've planted from seed. The small pink carpet type flower is alyssum.
Beautiful job
Thank you!
❤
Nice garden , thank you for sharing , I love the small apple tree . 🌸❤️🌸. Greetings and new friend from Canada 🇨🇦. I love to garden as well.
Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful... I learned a lot about lisianthus which I love! Now I can have spring rose looking blooms with ranunculus and late Summer rose-like blooms too! Super excited to get some next year but I've never seen lisianthus at a garden center. Are they readily available or would I need to get seeds? I read that the seeds are not easy to grow so I'm hoping I can purchase them next year..🤔 Thx!!
Lisianthus can be grown from seed but it takes months. I would recommend plugs. Most companies only sell these to growers but you can order as an individual from Farmer Bailey. However, these are large quantities for a home grower. I have a cut flower garden...backyard.. so it works for me.
I had a dozen of yellow squash blooms on two plants but not one appeared female. They didn’t rot. They just fell off.
That's a bummer. I've never had problems with winter squash until this year. I now have a couple growing since I planted multiple varieties. Last year, I had enough to last until spring and still had to throw some out. Gardening, like mother nature, is unpredictable.🙂
❤ hoping you're feeling better
Very pretty garden Rose, 🌹 I have never seen a butterfly bush look like that before! I love the red hummingbird flowers crowcosmia? I think you said? Looks as if you need to add water to your bird baths, it will ruin those solar fountains lol 😂 Did you know you can take stem of the sedum and stick it in the ground and it will grow a whole new plant? Also, do you happen to know the name of your white clematis growing on your arbor? Doe’s it have a scent? Did you say that the apple tree was a Fiji? Never seen a tree that small with apples 🍎 before? They are my favorite to! Can not believe the transformation in only 2 years! Great job!
Thank you! I have started doing these tours when I do my morning walk-through. That's where I determine what needs to be done for the day, so weeds have yet to be pulled, things haven't been dead-headed, and nothing has been watered. Although it looks more disheveled, it's typically cooler, overcast (which helps with filming), and the traffic noise is at a minimum.😄 I have been propagating the sedum, which gives me a 50% success rate. The crocosmia was planted as bulbs (3), and they've spread quickly in just 2 years. The clematis is Sweet Autumn, which is probably one of the most common varieties here. It does have a sweet scent. I got them from my local home improvement store and they were cheap! The butterfly bush is called Honeycomb and it came from my local nursery. There are 3 columnar apple trees and the brand is Spire from Stark Brothers Nursery. I have 3 different varieties, one red and two green. It is where I've ordered all of my fruit trees.
Nice garden!
Hey Rose, love your garden. You've done a great job. That plant that you have a lot of is not liriope, it's liatris or gay flower.
Thank you so much! I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what that plant was. I still don't know what possessed me to plant it everywhere!😂
Fantastic and very peaceful video. Your garden is beautiful and your energy is too.
Thank you! I find so much joy and peace in the garden.
Beautiful garden! I love that topiary. I think that white button plant near your pink yarrow is called pearly everlasting.
Beautiful. You too. Now i know who u reminded me of. Donna Summer. You're just too productive.
Thank you!
very nice
