Researchers from the TU Delft have designed and built a new innovation at the Green Village: a bridge which has a structure from glass. Students tested the bridge by running, jumping, standing, partying and the glass trusses have proven to be very strong.
In the future a second glass bridge will be built over this first prototype: this one will be made only from glass by using the very old technique of building in the shape of an arch. This bridge will be unique in the world, and hopefully in the future this glass technology can be adapted to other structural projects.
