I had a T04E 60 trim turbo on this car that was smoking thanks to a kinked oil feed, so a friend of mine gave me a used but still good turbo from his 2014 WRX. It's an IHI VF52. It kind of sounds like a mini banshee as it sucks in air. Neat!

Finally got some time on a dyno to learn how to tune a car a bit. I was able to get 227 WHP this time. I'll come back when I get turn the boost up past 12 psi and actually have extra plugs to read the timing.

Atta boy! I've been saving for 3 years now. Just over half way now (disabled EMT, fixed income lol). I'm going to have to do it myself...other wise I'd probably take another year or two lol. I'm nervous because it's difficult to stand for more than 10 mins or so at a time. But these cams seem pretty straightforward. I have no issues with the mechanics, just the physical. Anyway, just excited at the possibility!

What rpm do you start making boost. I'm debating in going td04 13t or t25 for a dd, 92 civic, d15 I'm looking to spool around 2,000 to 2500. Lower the better.

Raymundo ha! that is funny. I picked up an 83 280ZX earlier this year which is my first project car as well. I'll have to look for the video you mentioned with it turbo'ed. I've been debating on what to do about the motor, I'd really like to turbo it if it's worth it for the cost and performance it will put out. Or I'll swap it but that's always big bucks.
