Press the ‘setup’ button on the right side of the screen, press ‘display’, select the ‘day mode’ button to de-activate it. Please note that when you set the instrument panel light control switch to full brightness, the navigation screen always remains in day light mode, since it then thinks you prefer full brightness of all data displayed. In that case, lower the brightness of the instrument panel (dash). Night mode only works when the headlights are switched on, and then works with the automatic light sensor to change between day and night mode.

There are many options to buy an OEM speedometer in the second hand market. I’m from Belgium, so I know my way around local dealers here, but not sure I can help you out here… It all depends on price and condition…

Actually, I am good at shifting, but not in that car. The gear lever in the IS220d is very chunky and tractor-like, not smooth at all... It takes forever to shift between gears. I prefer the petrol-engines and their gearbox, it makes the riding experience so much nicer...

Car is extremely heavy... but the power is available once you are at speed... Not from 0-100, but when you floor it at speed, you can certainly feel the power of the torque...

Er is er geen in de CT 200h omdat moderne motoren (zeker benzine) niet meer moeten voorverwarmd worden vooraleer je ze kan rijden. Opwarmen van de motor heeft meer negatieve milieu-effecten in de zin van uitstoot en verbruik dan rijden zonder de motor op temperatuur te laten komen. Je kan wel aftermarket dongles kopen die toelaten de temperatuur te checken, maar er is geen nood om dat te doen.

I noticed that I got a lot better fuel economy when my tyre pressure was slightly higher than recommended, and when changing gears under 2.500 rpm

@@scooterfarl_fpv2344 Yes, but it can be solved by driving a long drive (20 minutes or longer) at a constant 3500 rpm (on highway), and do this once every time you refuel.

saghir hussain Have you tried to adjust the tyre pressure? More pressure is equal to less consumption, but this car is in essence very thirsty.

@@MotorMasterMike I put 35psi in the front and 38 psi back tyre. I put hydra diesel power blast injection cleaner in ever tank of diesel. But it not making any difference. Full tank of diesel is about 60 litres diesel. It will gives me about 350 miles.

saghir hussain I know... the car is not very economical... the body is too heavy and the engine is made for comfort, not for good fuel economy

PL Yiek: depending on the vehicle type, in most cases, you have to press the trip button located on the top of the dash/steering wheel. You can change between odo, two trip modes and blanc. See page 85 of the manual for pictures of where the lever is located (center top of the steering wheel column).

I know what you mean and I agree, but in Belgium, it is mainly a 'tax' related matter since petrol cars and petrol fuel are heavily taxed, but diesel oil is not...

@@guillermogarcia6181 however nearly since over a year I don't have any problems and starting to invest money in the car. New brakes new led head and taillights because without any problems this car is just so good. In the executive version you get mark Levinson, parking camera and sensors, ventilated seats and heated of course and many more. No German car will give you this for the same price. I already fell in love with the Lexus brand and the next car will be a Lexus too. Hopefully a GS 350 or GSF :) When you insist to buy a IS 220 either check for facelift if not check the pre-facelift properly and make sure everything is as it supposed to be. Eg any white/pink marks around the engine covers. If it's very clean it's also very suspect. Good luck.
