Disclaimer:
Popsie Funk is a fictitious creation. The tracks are A.I. generated from lyrics and musical compositions that I have created. The A.I. samples are then mixed and edited by me.
I am adding this disclaimer due to repeated questions about the genuine authenticity of Popsie Funk and his music.
While being asked the same question dozens of times can be taxing, I take confusion as a huge compliment!
After all, if you can't tell by ear that my music is A.I. generated, then I'm doing my job right!

Sweet baby jesus I need to know if this man is gonna shit his pants or not.
Hell Yeah! 👍 I've been starved for more funk, and succulent Chinese meals!
I hope you dig this one. I must confess, this one was kind of spontaneous. I've got several that I'm working on and I obsess over making my main projects as good as possible. So every once in a while I just crank out the first things that I put to paper... and strangely... they often end up some of my more popular songs 🤔
@PopsieFunk Nothing wrong if you release a demo or B-side here and there. Glad you're still going at it!
@ProfessorGast yes, indeed. Life gets busy and I may not get as much done as I'd like, but I don't forsee a day when ol' Popsie turns in his badge✌️😎
It proofs (AGAIN) where Michael Jack’s son got his squeeking technique from 🎉
@fkg360 Michael was a great talent, but his early solo work was best. More funk, less commercial pop ✌️ 😎
I take confusion as a huge compliment! okay ai grifter, monetizing this ass videos and ass music without paying royalties to the real artists, so sad you needed ai models to create, since you can't come up with real music
Was it REALLY necessary to post the same accusations and insults on 3 different threads? Don't you have anything better to do with yourself? Absolutely bizarre... ... but I guess I should be thanking you, as each new comment increases my favor with the algorithm. So thanks, I guess ✌️ 😎
AI slop
@LingLing-hz8yx don't like it? Don't listen. Easy peasy, my man ✌️ 😎 Just don't get left behind. A.I. is the way of the future. F.Y.I., some sections of this song are A.I. and some are not. Bet'cha a dollar you can't honestly tell me which is which.
I agree, this popsie funk guy needing ai to create hahaha go learn some real instruments lil guy, plus disguising it as vinyl rip and monetizing this videos when no credit nor royalties go the original recording nor artists
@Mikivids you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. First of all, I'm not monetized at all. I don't make a dime. This is purely for fun and the enjoyment of myself and anyone else who chooses to listen. The "Vinyl Rip" format is part of the fun and everyone is in on the joke. It's an entertaining "Alternate History" that nobody takes seriously and my regular listeners tell jokes about "The first time I heard Popsie Funk was 1981 at my high school dance!" and so on. Second, I can honestly claim that every track I've created, with the exception of TWO, are 100% my creations. The two in question are the "Big Jilm" supercut, which was a Ween cover that I did to support Dean Ween's mental health. The other is actually this song, "Hurtin'" which I sampled 6 seconds of "Electric Avenue" then synthed it myself so I could claim that I didn't directly use anyone else's material. All lyrics, again, with the exception of "Big Jilm", are mine. I play several instruments and do in fact integrate much of my own recording samples into the tracks. This is what "A.I. Haters" don't understand. It's a tool, much like the autotune you mentioned elsewhere. The reality is, this particular track is about 50% A.I. and 50% traditional recording. I create a loose composition of every song I create. I usually lay down about a 6 second backing track that I record myself, be it a 6 second bass loop, a 6 second guitar riff, a 6 second keyboard intro, etc. Then I take the lyrics that I have written and put them to whatever cadence and tempo works best for the backing track I've created. At this point, I let the A.I. take it in various directions and I mix and edit the different results to create the song in my head... or at least as close to my vision as possible. So do me a favor... don't try to assume that you know my process or my methods. Ask and I'll tell you. You claim that I'm not a musician... that's fine, but what I do meet the criteria of is song writer, composer, editor and producer. Now, if you want to say that I suck at those things, that's fair. You are entitled to your opinion... but you can't claim that I'm not writing my own songs, composing them, editing them and producing them. I will repeat... EVERY SINGLE SONG, SAVE ONE, WAS WRITTEN BY ME. I owe NOBODY any rights or royalties... and if "hurtin'" ever makes a red cent, I'll be sure that Eddie Grant gets a check for the 6 seconds of synth that I sampled. But hey, they say the sign of success is having haters. If that's true, I'm doing pretty well ✌️ 😎
@@PopsieFunk very well then show your daw and stems for alllll the songs you claim you have 100% ownership of, because casually only when the audio models dropped is when you started posting music, feels really sus, plus I get ads whenever I click on one of your videos, so you're either lying or the UA-cam copyright system actually knows what's up with your ai "samples"
@Mikivids do you have any idea how long that would take? Especially since much of it is analog? You are waaayyyyy over thinking the process of creating music. I can grab my bass or keyboard and literally in seconds, create a simple 6 to 10 second backing line, save it to my Korg and upload it directly. The A.I. takes my backing track and goes off in whatever direction it wants, then I choose bits and pieces that match what I want and edit it together. Whether it's impressive or stupid, I'm not sure, but 90% of the work is done on my phone while I'm hanging out with my kids. Everything from writing and editing to laying out song structures. Obviously not for backing tracks, as I need my instruments handy, but I can edit what I've already recorded. In any event, I'm not going through any crazy lengths to prove anything. Which of course you will probably use as a "got'cha!", but that's fine. If you want to reach out to me privately, we can do that and I will show you a few entry files showing what I uploaded and confirming that what followed was A.I. generated, because it seems to me that your issue is that you think I'm using other people's work and I can 100% assure you that I am NOT. You will not find my lyrics ANYWHERE ELSE, and if the A.I. sections of my tracks have any similarities to existing songs, it is PURELY COINCIDENCE. It should also be noted that the very nature of A.I. means that it's not impossible for there to be similarities. The A.I. is trained by listening to THOUSANDS OF HOURS of existing music. Hence why the music industry is suing several A.I. providers. With that said, the A.I. providers claim that while the A.I. learns from existing music, it does not directly copy it. Is that true? Don't know. That's above my pay grade. All I'm telling you is this... in the nearly 80 songs I have produced, ONE is a cover with lyrics from Ween and ONE contains 6 seconds of synth and digital drum from Eddie Grant. That's it. The rest is a combination of my own recordings and A.I. generation. And again, I defy ANYONE to find my lyrics on another album somewhere. You won't.
I saw your camp in fo76 and came to check out your channel! Cool to see the combo of ai with your own compositions, I haven't seen ai utilized like that before. Sounds great!
@JessicaSandsMusic Thank you very much! I hope you'll stick around! A.I. is pretty much the future of music. Heck, it's the present, if we are being honest... How long have studios been using auto tune and similar techniques to completely disguise mediocre vocals? A.I. is a great tool for those who don't have a full studio at their disposal or perhaps lack the ability to play every instrument they want to use in their music, but they have the essential framework down.
@@PopsieFunk auto tune nor melodyne isn´t ai, you know that, your comments are nothing but cope, you started uploading this "music" only because there was a model and ai company which facilitated this for you
Jessica, lets be honest this sounds like ass, horribly mixed and pretty generic
@Mikivids you know nothing of my process, my methods, any musical abilities that I may or may not have or any "traditional" music that I've made. I have addressed this elsewhere, so I won't repeat what I've already said. I will only say this: I write 100% of my own songs and I do not use or borrow anyone else's lyrics. I also provide my own backing tracks for the A.I. to build around. I'm just one member of the band... the A.I. is the rest of the band, but I'm also the song writer, composer, editor and producer. Take that as you will, but those are the facts. If you want to say that I'm a shitty song writer, that's your opinion... but I do write and compose my own stuff and I take issue with any insinuation to the contrary.
@@PopsieFunk okay grifter, liking your own replies, at least you acknowledge that creating that much output of music is impossible without ai, plus you haven't provided proof of your daw and stems, just the same replies, I won't take your word for it

@ have fun being level 1300 and doing no damage. Rookie 🥱
@LingLing-hz8yx son, I still have no idea who you even are. You are talking about a video game like it's some kind of personal vendetta. I jump on about an hour or two before my kids get out of bed, play a little bit, then go about my day. I played with dozens of people over the weekend. I talked a little bit of jive to most of them. I don't specifically remember a single one of them. A game just ain't that important to me. It's two days before Christmas. My kids are excited and my wife is festively horny. Son, I don't have a care in the world right now. Smoke a joint and go get laid, little cousin. A game ain't that important...

I remember that Frank Zappa called Popsie "the Greatest funk visionary of all time." With genre defying bangers like this, you can easily see why the two loved each other so much. The laid back grooves were really when his voice shined. The poor guy just couldn't stop injurying his wang, though!
What doesn't kill him only makes him stronger. So remember, always have those frozen peas handy ☃️
Frank was Popsie's main man. There was talk of a collaboration, but Popsie likes things a certain way and Frank did too.
