Yes the design of the building itself look weird but the residence occupancy rates is full all the time. It is not easy to find a unit for rent in this building (residence) but I am not sure about other lots. Maybe they should convert the space into other use such as co living space as there is shortage of supply in this area.

The problem in our country especially authority are stupid the worst is developer only wants to make quick money or profit , why can't they look at the long term, give the low income people to.take.up the houses and ship lots let them.start business and give the long teen repayment payment so you create traffic and reasonable rentals so you give.them.a chance and opportunity so these people will grow and chance in life so developer get to service the loan and also able to get back what spend on the project if not it is a big white elephant for long run NO one will even came and people who are there is eventually leave so you want that !

Any shopping mall that has poor access will suffer poor foot traffic. One city in Subang jaya has the same fate

That huge eyesore belong to Hatten Harbour City, which has filed for Judicial management in Aug 2024. It will take at least another 30 years or so, for Melaka to be able to absorb such buildings, including the other abandoned buildings in the man made island. This is one of the many projects that fail before it even take off, another example is the Forest City. Malaysia age old concept, where people will come once you built them, has never been viable, is still followed as till today. this is evident in the ever building of new malls, houses, condos, before they are occupied.
