And don't forget that Trader Joes is owned by Aldi (in Germany). 👍🏼
I already thrifted but for food I'm trying to get to the point of start with raw items. I got a grain mill and I'm gonna make my own bread. I've been buying Bob's Red Mill flour for about a year but I'm ready for some einkorn and other grains. I can get some from local Amish farmers. I'm gonna try and do the same for beans and tomatoes, things that I often use. I'm gonna work on growing and drying my own herbs and peppers. If I had more acres I would put together a green house. I kind of do have some room and I've been considering it soon since it looks like were stuck on this property.
I deleted my Amazon account. I had boycotted it previously a few years ago, but eventually came back, still having the account made it easier. But no longer! I'm just going to put a bit more elbow grease into finding the things I want to buy, both online and in person.
this is so cute 💖 rooting for u both 🤗
2:16 have to get off fb
U said saving money, trader joes is expensive.. i do aldis
Good info about laundry softener. Thanks
Don't support a brand like Trader Joe's that goes above and beyond to kill the union movement ( they're leaders of the union busting oligarchy). Don't buy into their bs Hawaiian shirt wearing pseudo progressive culture!
Trader Joe's owners are secretive creepy extremely union - busting family! Please do better homework!
Edit your video please!!
Sorry but Trader Joe’s are working to prevent employees from collective bargaining
Interesting about the period underwear. Never heard of them before. I hate buying pads/tampons for so many reasons, not least is how wasteful and uncomfortable they are. I literally had the thought just the other day, 'why do we use this crap, people who menstruate have existed for what, a million years?'
At Trader Joe's watch out for Israeli products. 🙏
Thanks for this. I found out that HEB in Texas is still a privately owned company. It is the largest grocery store in my city . They have stores in Texas and Mexico. I am an avid Amazon buyer and a little bit of Target. I'll have to figure out how to diminish those purchases. I hope I can.
Trader Joe’s is a HARD pass. They are actively Union Busting!!! Their altruism is fake. They offend me more because they present themselves as earth and people conscious. Please support local ethnic grocery stores, farmers market, etc. I’m making coffee at home. Just bought an old fashioned percolator. They make fantastic coffee for those of you too young to know. Also invested in a stainless steel reusable filter. Each month if my budget allows I try to add something that eliminates the need to grocery shop the big name stores. Christmas I talked to my family about not shopping and using that $$ to buy a bread maker. I have arthritis so kneading is very painful. Bread is definitely a main grocery store driver.
That vest is amazing by the way. I’ve watched a lot of this kind of content on anti consumerism but your video is really unique, especially buying from a friend. That hadn’t occurred to me. I have a friend who makes pottery for fun not for sale but this video helped it click for me I’m shopping for bowls, maybe I could ask him.
Unfortunately, these are companies that reject DEI: 1. Target: Target announced the discontinuation of its DEl initiatives, including the "Belonging at the Bullseye" strategy and the Racial Equity Action and Change (REACH) program . 2. Walmart: Walmart has curtailed its DEI efforts, aligning with a broader corporate trend of re-evaluating DEl initiatives 3. Meta Platforms Inc. (formerly Facebook): Meta has scaled back its DEl investments incrementally since 2023 4. McDonald's Corporation: McDonald's has rolled back some of its DEl programs and changed the name of its diversity team to the Global Inclusion Team 5. Amazon: Amazon stated it was "winding down outdated programs and materials" related to its DEl efforts 6. Boeing: Boeing dismantled its global DEl department in October 2023 7. Brown-Forman 8. Caterpillar 9. And more…
You need to do more research before making videos. Trader Joe's is not your friend.
PSA: avoid Walmart, Amazon, Trader Joe's, Home Depot and Netflix too
I quit Amazon, Whole Foods, Walmart, LL Bean, Trader Joe and many others. Tho inconvenient I will NOT support rump supporters. For good quality spices try Penzy’s. Wegmans is good unfortunately not always local. I agree completely with you. PS. TJs supports rump supporters In the northeast we’re lucky to have a family owned store, Market Basket. Great prices and the MB product is as good as name brands Keep up the great work
And still at Trader Joe’s? Now that it is known they are fighting against workers rights?
Here are some things I do 1) i buy perhaps one roll of paper towels and do everything else with rags. I like the paper towels to take moisture off of food when needed in cooking but for cleaning they are LOUSY. I buy a bag of rags and wash them as needed. It is faster, cheaper better 2) I rarely use bath towels and instead used hand towels because they are totally adequate for one or two showers (must air dry shortly after using. I put them under the heat pump in my ductless system. I even use these at the gym, which is probably not acceptable for those who are terrified that someone could discover they have genitals 3) I use a very limited variety of cleaning products. I never buy toilet cleaner. Dishwashing soap works great with a rag. Yes, I do put my hand in the toilet bowl of a flushed toilet with a glove on. It works much better than a toilet bowl brush and toilet bowl cleaner
Talk to us now about your feelings and suggestions now that some businesses have jumped on the fear wagon like dei drops, and terriffs will now impact even our poor small businesses
Yes, this! Well said...very encouraging
Trader Joe’s white labels. This is not in my opinion 100% accurate
Love this. But I'm an artist. There was once 2 art supply shops near me. Now there is none. And, they didn't shut down because of amazon, they closed due to rents, business rates and bills to light and heat the shop...the last to close told me he had to pay an accountant £16,000 a year before he even started. So...love this and if you can live without amazon, good.
I cook all my own food healthy for you way cheaper than don’t eat out or buy coffee make my own no shopping for things I don’t need cut my own hair nails done by me
Public libraries have digital media to loan.
Like you can loan movies and tv shows?
3:19 Wait. I invest couple an don't care if my stock grow or not. Just care about owning to company that makes sense great products.
I've been shopping at WinCo for my groceries and talking to my partner about if we want to get a Costco membership for this year.
Not Trader Joes they are union busting with elon
Trader joes is in cohoots with musk to union bust. Not shopping at any big markets No Trader joes, aldis , kroger, walmart etc. Small ethnic markets are family owned
Stop Amazon! Support small businesses in your community.
If you’re into video games I highly recommend you stick with retro, local video game stores and small indie developers. I also recommend you purchase your digital games on GOG games if you game on PC the games are DRM free.

Capitalism. It’s right there in the name. The point is to Capitalize. To take advantage of.
You reap what you sow. Sorry you didn't vote for the lesser evil because of Gaza. I have no sympathy
Please support Cosco! They're one of the best options we have
I'm stuck shopping on Etsy but a try to get websites of the individual sellers to support them instead of Etsy. I'm doing my best to try to avoid SHIEN and Temu which hijacked Etsy
Please support Cosco!!!! They're one of the few ethical companies we have
Some thrift stores are actually fundraising mechanisms for community based non-profits. Those are a great place to donate and shop.
I don't support Amazon, Target, Nestle(Starbucks and Nespresso), tesla products or services, no chain fast food, GE, Home Depot, PayPal, Hobby Lobby, Bed Bath Beyond, Ross, Macy's, Walmart or Comcast. Still adding to the list.
Would you do more on this theme as you’re REALLY good at this! Also, what about Aldi?
target has also been rly shitty for a while. sexualized children's clothing, removal of pride section, etc.
A bidet attachment cut down on toilet paper usage
I cut my mid back curly hair to my shoulders just to reduce my conditioner use, three bottles per one bottle of shampoo.
Finally! However, I fear it’s too little too late. We shall see, though.
well this aged extremely well
Paid off my Target card and I won’t be going back! Trying to focus on local businesses in my city as much as possible!❤️
So it’s proven if they’re hurting in their profits they’ll change their tune. You can buy so much at Costco and support a wonderful company and it’s employees. Get off Facebook and quit giving Zuckerberg your money. Same with Amazon. Buy local. So you have to go out of the house big deal.Either we take charge of our lives or we continue to fund these billionaires who are intent on destroying America for their own power and profit and following a wannabe dictator narcissist Trump.
