record clamp maker?

This is normal. This could be from not placing it in the correct position when using it, or we've found that the center hole of many records is often not perfectly centered, causing a slight wobble in and out. Thanks, Wayne Wayne’s audio

Wayne there has to be a way to make these rings cheaper. Since the peripheral weight is what is causing the physical change, perhaps you could experiment with delrin or vinyl rings? You would still be able to keep tight tolerances in the ring and then add the weight(s) as usual.

Good stuff! I have the clamp. Much better than the just weights. I’ve tried several. They’re okay. This clamp enhances the warmth & my records sound full bodied. I really can’t explain it. I consider this niche but, I’m one for nice rims on my car and a nice hifi set up! My turntable tech has the periphery ring & swears by it! It’s in my future. Just wish there was one for the Denon DP 59-L

Most of the stray vibration on a record propagates at the edge. Buying your outer weight a few years back was one of the best upgrades I made to my system. Might be useful to line the inside of the ring with something that stays in place a bit better though. I haven't gotten around to it but I was thinking of gluing in a very thing sorbathane layer. You think that might help or hurt?

What an amazing plinth. That thing is just an overall absolutely beautiful turntable. One of my favorites I’ve personally ever seen. No joke. I’ve no doubt it sounds fantastic in real life. It’s firstly of course about the music, but I’m always gonna look twice at a stunning piece of HiFi. I know you do the periphery rings, but did you build that turntable? Love the arm and the duster erm too. I use one as well. Is the tonearm from a newer co. called Korf? They seem to make some really nice looking. Garrards are such a beautiful machine. The gears that work it are other level. Thanks, - Nick

Dropping the cart onto the run in groove is not for the faint heart or drunks. If you land on the outer ring by mistake----ouch.

how about the bearing and motor of the technics can it flawlessly handle the extra weight of the periphery outer ring. Even if I use it for a long period.

May I ask where you found the outer ring and piece....??? Great video.

There is a 0.6mm thick ring lip on the inside of the ring . So,the “ring lip” is only 0.6mm above the record and sitting on the very edge of the record. Even after you place the ring, there is still room for the beginning of first track. Hope this help!

Is there's any possibility some cartridge could come in contact with the outer ring because at the starting point of a record they run very close side by side and there is such a small space between the top of the outer ring and the underside of the body of a cartridge
