If he didn't, it would be very demonic, similar to what's happening in the world today. Then, demons would be the ones to be forgiven. If I were to say that he didn't, we would be seeing demonic work, and the current events support this. Finally, saying "Jesus" may be acceptable, but saying "Jesus Christ" could be an invitation to demonic forces. I agree with all of this but my question is "Why are so many evangelical more enamored with shaming others than being the Light that attracts others to salvation? There is NO indication in the NT that Christ went about shaming others into believing his Message. Shame does not work on human beings...it is EXEMPLIFICATION that draws people to the Light, not ginger-wagging and shame.

It is important to remember that Jesus, though he knew and accepted his fate, was utterly terrified of it. Aa horrible as the crucifixion was its a love story For God so loved the world he gave his one and only son to die for sinners. Those who believe on him are set free. Forgiven and given new life. Life is pain sin produces pain you sin and you know it. God wants you to come to him, be forgiven, know the truth, and be set free. Pain is God's megaphone to rouse a sleeping world. Its not just a story it's His Story, and God wants you to be part of it part of the family. Jesus God in flesh went to great lengths was crucified so you could have your name written in the book of life. Only God can offer you eternal life only God can forgive you and God is love and he loves you. God knows your pain your struggles and the pain you are in. The pain you can even hide from everyone, but God sees you and wants you to take it to him and look to the cross his deepest expression of his love for you. Come to me All who are weary, and I will give you rest for your weary souls. There is a slow agonising death called a life lived apart from God and an abundant life lived in close communion with God. I have come to bring you life and life more abundant. That's love, and you get a new best friend, a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
