Never recommended to lift a fridge horizontal..as a professional mover..you have to avoid that and keep fridge upright going down a staircase
We can according safety policy we can do that if there is an urgent need for a short period of time. Just after the move we must leave the refrigerator unconnected to electricity for 1 hour so that the freon will drain down. We do the job only professional way, according safety policy !
You can put it sideways. just be sure to put on the correct side as not to send the compressor oil into the filter-dryer.
