I initially used a local text to speech, and it is much much faster, but sounds horrible lol that’s why I switched to 11 labs. I think the delay is worth it personally.

@ssnowh when I get my model finished I can send it to you. Training them helps a lot but I agree a lot of models still sound like robots from the 70s hahaha

@ which does add a charm! Considering these are robots from the 80s, it’s not far off lol. I would definitely love to try it out when you get it finished, currently working on implementing multiple movements. And all honesty, I’ll most likely use this more just for a random movements feature since blue box doesn’t have that.

@ssnowh well i am training our model on rockafire voices since we have both bands. What do you mean bluebox doesn't have that feature? With a winford board u can go to an arduino directly to a character cable and train a LLM to understand gestures that could tie it all together. No need for a bluebox.with that you only need to upscale to 24v on the negative.

@ that was my point, one of my biggest complaints about program blue was it didn’t have a random movement feature. That along with my love for modern AI is what inspired me for this project. Always loves the random movement feature that a lot of Chuck E. Cheese had, gave a lot of character to the characters when they were idle

I have a $3000 gaming rig and I use this little thing more than it if that says anything… absolutely phenomenal piece of hardware, incredibly versatile.

I intend to cover this in the in depth video I’m making covering this whole project. AI is a Pandora’s box that can never be closed, and while I intend to never use it to replace actual programming, I can’t say it will stay the same. But I promise I have no plans or intentions of this ever replacing hand programmed shows!

@ Glad to here it! I’m weary about AI but as long as it doesn’t replace actual humans art or what have you I think it’s fine.

It will look much better on Barbara. Moons mouth isn’t really made for rapid talking as it doesn’t close or open necessarily fast, even that considered though I’m very happy with it!

@@_SillyBoy813_ the desync is caused by me having to dub over and not doing great at it. If I ever were to record the raw sound coming from my speaker (which I can’t due to the air compressor right now)

@@Sea_of_Waves that is correct! I haven’t had a chance to hook them up to it, but that was my initial plan. He’s still not in my room, yet, as I used a vinegar, cleaning solution to clean his fur up and didn’t feel like my room smelling like that lol

100%, no offense to whoever programmed the 3 stage shows, but it will never hold a candle to CEI's programming. It's just a shame that there isn't very many official Rolfe shows where he isnt just a small cameo.

I'd recommend looking up videos of shows from 2000 through April 2005 because the characters (such as Chuck & Helen and how often their body turns were used) were much more animated then compared to now.
