It’s from 1990. Rab C was originally a recurring character in a sketch show in the late 80s. He got his own show in 1990. Basically the show follows Rab and his pals who are all unemployed wasters in a deprived part of Glasgow as they comically go about their daily business . Also there are plenty of folk in scotland like this ….thousands of them . The UK as whole is full of them

I lost my Dad a couple of weeks ago. We all loved him but I had no idea how many people at his work,his church and his pub loved my Dad. They all came to his funeral. It meant the world to us ❤️

Thing about Rab C is the first season is the best, it's top notch, opposite of Still Game which starts slow (really poor first episode) but gets great the longer it goes .

One of my favourite shows of the 90s! 👍 I've hardly been out of Sheffield much of my life & understood most of the lingo. Respect goes to Alan Yentob (Controller of BBC2 at the time) he put this show out in primetime & resisted calls from his superiors to put the show out with subtitles. An episode when Rab goes to London, takes the p1ss out of this, subtitling a upper class character's dialogue into Glaswegian and Rab's into upper class English! 🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes, this is normal, but the government is very selective about who they clamp down on. Namely, people born here are targeted, while immigrants are not. Immigrants who came here five or more years ago are still living on benefits without jobs. We have thousands of homeless people, mostly veterans, and it's quite disgusting. When people rise against the government, they brush it under the carpet. It will be their downfall, and every British-born patriot will put right what has been wronged.

You'll find that a lot of the actors & actresses that appeared in Still Game, first appeared in Rab C Nesbitt episodes. Even Victor, Jack, Boabby, Winston, Isa, Pete the Jacket, Tam, Navid, Shug & a lot of the side - Molly played by Dorothy Paul characters all had parts in Rab C Nesbitt.

as far as the money getting paid from the government your way off, you will be lucky to see just under £400 a month, and yes the government can stop your money at anytime if they feel your not making any effort to work however there are circumstances where they cant without good reason which is why you see so many people here in England at least trying to claim pip as ts not just an extra benefit but getting it requires alot of proof that something is physically or mentally wrong with you. the idea that you think people who have to use the governments handouts is due to lazyness shows you have never met people with real problems, hopefully my message gets you to open your mind abit, not to have a go at you but to get you to think maybe not everyone is that lucky. I've not heard 'keeping the edgy' for yonks. It's an early warning system. For example, when we were at school, we'd go in to RS Mcoll to pinch scud books and someone would have to keep the edgy. Only got caught once. By my geography teacher. She told me to slip it into an Exchange n Mart. I was mortified, but It actually worked. I'll never know how she knew that.
