Great film.. very disturbing....but v good u

Alan Partridge - a heavily scripted comedy - has some great moments; eg, when he’s off air with Tim Key’s character at North Norfolk Digital. I love Human remains. Like Partridge the active has to be spot on. I came to HR late not really knowing much about Brydon’. His acting is superb. Davis too obviously but I think she had a higher comedic profile than Brydon eg. Big Train. Enjoyed your review

As a musician, Crescendo was a film I loved when I first watched it. Really reminded me of being in bands and trying to steer everyone into getting stuff done, but also just the hanging out, noodling and finding a cool idea and then that idea turns into something much bigger and that original lick might get forgotten in whatever song you ended up writing. Need to give the sequel 'dissonance' a look, it's fun being this fly on the wall during a jam session.

I hear so many people talk about how much they miss this genre of film, but they're just looking in the wrong places. Thanks for highlighting some of these I haven't seen!

It's a shame that such infantile waffling can even be considered "documentary." It pains me that fascists have the same access to art as anyone else, but I suppose that's the price you pay for the virtues of democratized creation. Matt Walsh is a vile creature and I hope he gives up soon. At least other fascists have the decency to make good movies once in a while, but that's a bit frustrating in and of itself.

I love all these reframes of folk/online films. One day audiences that complain about the lack of originality will find a treasure trove of cinema to consume on UA-cam.

I relate to this a lot; I just literally make films for me now and if anyone else enjoys them, that's a massive bonus.

I think some cinephiles vastly prefer the audio and resolution available at the theatre, but it’s not feasible nowadays time and money wise to watch everything there nowadays. So what I feel they’re really saying is “I feel satisfied with having taken the gamble of watching this in theatres, it was quality content and I am happy with my decision”. I like your take too tho 😂

Dude. You killed it. There's a lot here that's been bouncing around in my head that I don't find anyone truly saying. "We'll need to make it ourselves." That's true, man. Too many times, we young folk look at the world and can't stand to motivate ourselves to change it. The good word of cinema needs to be spread. It is a word of courage, love, and beauty. If the culture tides against it, then it's us, the creators of a grass roots movement, to let that word live again that will bring it back to glory.
