Wow I never thought of combining braids as a leave out and a weaving as the remainder! That’s GENIUS!!😂 You look so pretty before and after 😊! I spent time looking for affordable braiders and hair. Last time I had braids professionally done I was in middle school. I quickly found out the girls have UP THE PRICES for these braids 😅. I decided to learn to do it myself and found out you can buy packs of PRE-BRAIDED braids as a crochet!!! I WAS LIKE DAMNNNN NO ONE TOLD ME THIS!!! 😂. I wanted shoulder length boho braids with curly strands and on a budget. Amazon became my best friend 😂! I was able to do it myself for under $70 & 8hrs. Since it was my first time I rather experiment with less expensive hair. Braiding down my hair and doing the braiding pattern is what took the longest but adding the crochet braids was pretty fast and easy. As I get better I’ll try higher end hair if necessary. But babyyy I love it! I’ve received lots of compliments and I’m glad I picked up a new skill. I’m gonna do my mom’s hair next, she was shocked mine turned out so good that she wants it too 😂. I say to all the girlies do what makes you happy, work with your budget, find unique ways to do things you enjoy. Your flyness might be completely different from the girl next to you but that’s what makes you unique and you can learn from each other. 🧡

You just reminded me of how I made my first lil boo complete a boyfriend application and he had to interview with my best friend and I 🤣 I was 16 but I was like if he’s serious about me he’ll do it 😌 like girl whattt?! Teenage me was not playing games but I’ve been joyfully single as an adult so I think that level of self love as a teenager translated really well into my understanding of my sense of self as an adult 💖
