HI! My name is Rickeyta, but most people either call me Ricki or Keke. I relocated from Clarksville, Tennessee all the way to The Gambia, West Africa back in 2016 with my family & we've been living here ever since. I was only 15 when we made the move, and of course, as you can imagine.. there was ALOT of culture shock I had to overcome when i arrived here as a young teenager. I made this channel to document my journey living in West Africa, as it is definitely a wild journey I felt NEEDS to be documented! They recently added bubble waffles and ice cream to their menu, and I finally got around to trying it, as promised! 🍦 It’s definitely made its way onto my list of favorite dessert spots in The Gambia. Ricki Denise, I pray you had a blessed birthday celebration. Please be careful and safe my beloved, because our Black people have NO Friends without a cost. These oppressor nations will smile in your face, while they are using you for their purpose and control. When they use their money on or for you they will often claim to "own you" by using their subtle tactics to lure you into their control. So please be alert beloved because they are surrounding you for a reason. Remember Gambia is a growing country and they are there for a bigger picture of controlling Africans and to buy or take over Gambia thru corporate means.
Hi, thanks for watching. Please don’t assume you know any of these people and how they are. I understand your concern & ofc what some stereotypes may be.. but believe me.. I’m not dumb & I very well too know history & in general how evil people can be. But let’s not ignore the fact that exploiters & evil people come in all races. There are literally a lot of rich black people that are exploiting their own people… some happening in this very country. I’m pretty good at reading people and telling when they are not genuine. You cannot always think everyone is after you. That will make you paranoid & anxious as hell, and you will NEVER truly enjoy your life or the company around you. I’d say that would be a very miserable life to live. Perhaps you can speak solely for yourself when you refer to black people not being able to have genuine friends. That is a very wild, sad, generalized statement to try and enforce on our community. We ARE worthy of healthy relationships, friendships, and it is veryyy much possible. Regardless of what color your friend is. Period. I’d hate to live my life thinking that everyone is after me or something that I have SOLELY because I’m black?? We are so much more than that. I can assure you, my true friends & those I hang out with on a daily basis are not anything like you described. I’ve known them for years and years to know this. So please. Realize that you’re trying to push a very harmful & unfair narrative on some of my friends when you literally know nothing about them. All love. 🙏🏾

@@rickidenise Most of the things in that cafe are imported, bubble tea most likely from China, countries send a lot of garbage to Africa, they send plastic that looks like rice, almost everyday there are people deleted after eating one minute noodles, unfortunately governments in Africa don’t prioritise their own people, they don’t have well equipped FDA, even just Panadol I wouldn’t buy it in Africa, a lot of imported things are just poison. Eat local stay safe
