This 1999 F350 7.3 liter is 100% stock and will be worked on while on camera and most things done to it will be on camera. Give me something to fix and I'll fix it. (metaphorically) Thank you for watching and subscribe to our channel. This is for the requests for the ForScan app and the comments on the channel about that this video was pre made so it does not have the intro and outro. This is the delivery day of the truck we will be working on a lot.
My 07 Mustang is having an intermitant problem with the starter relay-pcm-ign switch system. I think it might be a wiring problem. Do you think Forscan would find that? Thanks.
You don't seem to know what the heck are you doing.
Muricafy it all!
Looks like your using an I pad what dongle are you using for IOS? Is it WiFi or Bluetooth? Thanks
Did you figure out the issues with your truck? I have a 02 7.3 and I’m having the same issues idling rough shutting off on me etc
i have a jan 98 - 99 f350
Did you ever figure out how to do this? I've never seen any gauges on the app just a typical white log screen with options
NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I SEEN OBD 2 PORT ON PASS SIDE
I know this was a year back. However, just a couple examples. I noticed it most on early OBDII rigs. The OBS power stroke is an example, the 90's CRV is an example. I've run into a few. I think they might've had the idea that technicians would be interested in sitting passenger watching live data while someone else drives when the scan tools were less intuitive.
I don't think I would buy a USED discontinued product. They do not list the WiFi model you have purchased.
Great Video. Thank You!
Hey brother I like the way you did this video I know life gets crazy busy sometimes but can you possibly do an update
Are you able to fix hyper flash with the android app?
Will it ru a buzz test on the injectors
Yes it will.
So I am new to forscan. I don't have have gauges on mine. ??
@Truck world Ididnt see where to do this. Or is it a download from a site?
Can I use this app to recalibrate my Speedo for larger tires?
On my superduty I can.
how do i see the gauges and hpop pressure gauge
Can I use this to fix hyper flash on a led taillight?
You need a flasher relay for LED.
Your icp was reading high because that’s the stock setting the ecm commands when it’s bad witch I’m sure you already figured this out
thank you for this!!
is this program worth purchasing, how much is it and how does it compare to other diagnostics programs? I guess it's better than paying extortionate prices at a garage to have a fault read.
$10 a year, yes worth it.
What’s the name of the obd adapter?
The bafx obd2 Bluetooth adapter also works with the forscan lite app
I saved myself a ton of headaches recently. Have iOS devices, and wanted to be able to use WiFi while using FORScan, so got the veesee Bluetooth adapter. Only a few Bluetooth adapters work with forscan on iPhone, from my understanding. Truck died at a turnout. My IDM had failed, so I relocated the new one to the engine compartment by swinging the harness IDM pigtail inside, and making a custom mounting for the original bracket. The FORScan injector buzz test and ability to read PCM and other non ODBII codes was critical to me being able to figure it out myself, there at the side of the road. Best $45 I ever spent, since I acquired this 03, 7.3 250 SD a couple of years ago. Took the opportunity to do some other maintenance I had parts for, while the truck was out of service, and because I had high resistance readings, and 4 codes related to injectors/injector wiring after new IDM was in. Those were due to the common wear point on the valve cover behind the mounted half of the 42 pin connector over the driver’s side valve cover. (Caught just in time. Barely any copper showing on 2 of 3 worn wires, so I just taped them individually, and wrapped the last 3-4 inches of the loom before the connector with about 10 layers of super 33 electrical tape. The other issues were due to under valve cover wiring to injectors. I had purchased a kit with the dorman style valve cover gaskets with wiring, a set of cheap Chinese glow plugs (turns out I had 6 of 8 bad at 200k miles,) and a Gates HD belt/tensioner/pulley kit. Had a coolant leak that I was afraid might be injector o rings or cups, but it turned out to be the outlet from the thermostat to the upper heater hose was just rusty. Pulled the hose to install the Ambulance/two alternator hose that does not go through the middle of the belt. With the new IDM and no injector pulses shorting out to ground on the valve cover, it drives like a new truck. ICP is on my short list for maintenance tasks, as mine is leaking oil into the connector(so will be replacing that too) but still functioning. Along with that, I’ll be adding a dual frantz bypass filter setup, and switching the crappy specter filter that came in the air raid intake, out for a Synthamax dry filter from airaid. Ultimately will be changing that out to the Ford/Donaldson severe duty intake with 4000 sq inches of dry filter media. I found some actual (not counterfeit) ford OEM ICP sensor vendors in the $65-85 range, so will be going with OEM. I depend on the truck too much not to go OEM on critical sensors. I’m too cheap not to find the best deal I can on them though... Thanks for the video!
The ICP red gauge was the response from the ICP, it stayed at 0 because the ICP wasnt doing its job.
You mean in the first video?
Those $60 ebay OEM ICPs are fake. Real ones cost $120+
How many miles on your truck ?
Disregard missed71K at end
Will this let me bleed the abs on a 2006 mazda 3 ?
I may be wrong Buuuuut I think there are bleeder bolts for that.
Can it display IPR percentage and PSI
It can display the percentages, the psi is also available in the menu.
I have a 02-1999 F 250, been a task selecting parts, thanks for this video. I am about to run this on my 1999, 2000, and a friends 2001
So wondering if ForScan will work with the BAFX Bluetooth scanner on an Android Phone that does NOT have phone service?
Yes. It's only wirelessly connecting to the car with wifi, not cellular. When you first sign up to pay for the app you will definitely need to have data to login to pay the subscription fee, or free version. So connect your device to the internet. Do exactly, as you see in the video we watched. Then you can pull out the Android Phone and check the vehicle whenever you need. I am definitely going to get this. Half the time we can replace parts ourselves if we knew what the problem was. 👍
@@SoloCrimeWave Thank you!
Can I use this to troubleshoot the wrench light that keeps popping up on my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid? There is no check engine light so my code reader won't read anything.
Yes
Having the option to choose what unit of measurement you want is American. Everywhere else you don't get the choice.
Did you ever figure out why it showed the injectors failed the test???
Yes, We put a new ICP censor in and it solved it, we didn't run a test for a while so it could of been something else. Thank you for watching and commenting!
What is that I have a 95 with the 73 in it
What is the app with the gauges?
ForScan, thank you for the comment and if you are confused on the app and it's properties watch our playlist on the ForScan app and its content.
Hi, I am looking for an ICP sensor for my truck. Can you share what the name of sellers on eBay was, I can’t find this motorcraft ICP, thanks.
Michpe_6650 is the seller. I just looked and looks like he sold out. Had sold 3 when I got mine and now 71 sold. I will say the Motorola vs the offbrand from Orielly’s is performing the same.
Make sure that if you have not subscribed yet you subscribe. Abby...
"ain't that sexy" 😂😂
Yea, I also think that was pretty funny Abby, like the only people watching the video now want it.
