Wow so easy everything is color coded and the bins tell you where it goes. It can't get more easier than that
Your speed will get warning by computer system

I've worked a few different positions at Amazon and for me pick is the most fast paced position worked at, you almost have to move with a since of urgency to meet the high standers Amazon requires time really fly's because you never run out of work when you get finished picking an item there is almost always another pod waiting for you but my favorite position would have to be stow it's the easiest job at OKC1 you are a good picker keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your video

I worked at Amazon for 4 years 🥲

4:09 i think you pressed the button before the new tote had been scanned so that box you had in the new tote will be registered to that tote u sent off, not the one you replaced it with. gotta be careful with that, rather than rate they'll get on your ass more about pick errors like that.
yeah i saw that, that is going to mess with her quality, shes going fast is not about going fast is about placing the items flat and neatly to avoid missing items and quality errors
@@michaelcastillo5688 i think if you're worried about putting things "neatly" also you're wasting time. I just make sure i'm not crushing anything underneath something heavier and nothing is sticking out when i push it out because it can jump out of the tote when u push it out. Here's a trick u can use if you're worried that you overfilled and something is gonna fall out. It will fall out on the downward slope when u push it out and there's the sudden stop at an angle, when it lands flat on the conveyor everything usually settles so it won't fall out then. What u do is bend over slightly and hold on the tote until it touches the stop so it doesn't slide downward toward the stop at full speed which is where things will jump out of the tote because of the sudden stop. This trick has helped me avoid errors and usually overfill the totes slightly without having to worry and i'm not wasting too much time replacing totes. Pushing the old tote out with the new makes it go out too fast and that's where small light things or small boxes jump out. With heavy boxes u don't have to worry about going slightly over the top edge of the tote because they won't jump out. Just a tip from someone who's consistently top 5 in pick at my FC. Once u learn all the little hacks and you can go really fast and try to race the other top people picking time usually goes by so much quicker. For me anyways, i really don't mind picking, i get my own little station away from everyone's bullshit and i'm not bothered my entire shift.
How much salary?
I want to know that This is Cash Job?
I am a picker… we don’t throw orders in the totes. We are thought to place them and secure that they get delivered to packers in proper manner. The lines take up to an hour to take the product to its final destination. It is hard work . But it gets harder when you don’t love the customers…most of workers don’t. They love $$$$.
hey I want to know that this is cash job or card
Hi, I have a question. If a product can't be scanned, do you put it in a new tote, pick up the new tote and throw it? Thank you
If the item can’t be scanned, this is what you do: 1. Make sure there isn’t an identical item in the bin that you could use instead (only in the specific slot though! If you’re on F3, for example, you should only pull from F3!! 2. On your computer screen, there’s a button on the bottom that says: “Unscannable;” push that button. 3. If you’re new it might make you do a tutorial; if so, just follow the prompts. 4. If no tutorial, then push the “Resume” button on the middle of the screen. Then there will be a screen with instructions; hit the button on the lower right to continue past the instructions. 5. Using your hand scanner, scan the barcode of the new tote immediately underneath the computer screen. Put the item into that tote and then move that tote to the sixth tote position (it’s the only spot that never gets used normally) and push the tote down. And that’s basically it! It’s pretty easy once you’ve done it a few times; the only issue is that it slows down your task (“Takt”) time, but it’s pretty rare (one item every 300 picks).
Def a asset.
If you’re not depressed by this you’re brain dead and deserve this job

Anyone watching this … learn a trade it can be an accountant to zookeeper and everything in between. This is what it’s like to be a slave.
This looks really fun … also, you’re slow af there’s no way you’re going to last
Been here since 2016 till now🤣
You're slow as hell lol
This is super boring, I don’t think I can stay here long. Working at sortation center for a week and this shit is not easy.., I don’t think will stay there long
The picking job in the video will isn’t easy?
@@Julian-vd3oc it's simple, but doing it for 10 plus hours is agonizing
How do you know to grab another bin? Is there a notification or something else?
The screen will say it or the button will turn orange. Or if your bin is too full, you can change it.
Yeah a notification on the screen will tell you bin number, also there's a projector light that shines on bin where you need to take item from. The only thing that makes a picker position east is the technology they use.
Personally I absolutely hated the job I left and trained to be a selector since it payed more and is a lot more fun than this will ever be

I do this now 4 months ago I was doing outbound ship dock it a lot of walking on ship dock this picking spot ez
I don’t think this job is hard like at all. It’s just so un mentally stimulating that you get depressed.. people who can make it here only do there job; like they have vertigo.. and talk to about as least amount of people as possible.. and focus, and the haters that come from that well pk em all. Ask me how I know lmao
You forgot to slam throw and push stuff
Lol. Right?? Why does everyone SLAM EVERYTHING??? :/
I heard that’s you can’t wear earbuds and be on phone are you hiding your phone and recording ??
I been working at Amazon as a packer in AFE 1(sometimes they force me to work at singles) for a little over a year. All the text that’s on the screen are my thoughts every day.
Will people be on rotation for those jobs, or is "picking" all you ever do when you get this job?
After 30 days at amazon you can inquire about cross training but you have to hit rate and continue to
Seems to have slightly better mood this time. The items are not flying as far as usual. This job seems to require a very stoic nature and good shoes. And when you are not able to focus for hours, you will constantly get the "wrong item" beep... which is pretty frustrating when it happens.
Wow. I've seen several pickers by now and throwing items into those totes like that seems not to be the norm. Maybe quitting that job was not the worst idea ever.
Time is money, who has the time to nicely place items into the totes? Most of the items are clothes anyways or sheets. Who honestly gives a fuck, pay us what most warehouse jobs pay and maybe the workers will place every item with care
@@jaysrt21 your attitude is poor. Stop complaining, do your job properly and hurry up! Otherwise you'll get replaced by someone else more deserving of a job.
@@NeedMoarRage They hire people everyday, also the ambassadors throw the items as well. Mainly clothes, like i said . Who has the time to nicely place items when they’re down our throats about rate. saying we’re going too slow or our Taki time is too high. Makes no sense, you’re probably jobless
@@jaysrt21 a lot of time it's people think they can just turn up and put no effort. They likely never had a proper job. It's a warehouse job, don't expect it to be a walk in a park. My experience is different to yours, in my Amazon sortation warehouse the management and supervisors are on your level. Speed is not a big focal point as long you don't take the mickey. There's just no need to overwork yourself where I am at least. Just show a bit of effort and a positive attitude. There are more stressful jobs that pay less
@@NeedMoarRage That’s great on your part, not so much in our department. I’m bouta be 19 and this is my first job. Management is up everybody’s ass about “rate” Everyone has a shitty attitude towards, but never show it. I’m just doing a job, put effort to make rate and have a good attitude towards the managers. Just saying, no one really needs to put every single item with care. Depending if it’s under fragile. Most of the items we pick are clothes, pill bottles , phone cases or toys.

May i know if theres a height requirement for this?

This is some epic stuff right here ngl
The thing i want in a job is to leave early. My health suffers when I stay up late.
How do you know when to replace the tote? Is there a message on the screen? Or is it the red light that appears on the top?
It tells you on the screen
What position is this?
Surprised you weren't arrested and hauled off for filming
Looks like your moving at 10% of the speed
It dont matter no more 🤷🏼♀️
Unpopular opinion but I have been doing this for nearly 3 years now, and I can honestly say it’s the best job I’ve ever had. I love it lol
I disagree!
I agree, I love doing pick! My only gripe is when 1st floor can’t keep up and then the line goes down and we have to stack totes on the floor… HATE THAT!!!
U must be the picking department. Could explain that position a little…
I'm a current Amazon employee for 5 months now. I don't work at the fulfillment center but I work at the delivery station here in the state of CA. Because California is the 1st state to pass a law in regards to warehouse quotas, the delivery station and other fulfillment centers are dropping the rates. The managers aren't gonna make you work yourself to death. Me and everyone at the delivery station work at our own pace. And the delivery station is much more simple than I expected.
Good to hear thanks for sharing
i need to move to california 🤣
What do you do at delivery station ?
Can anybody tell me what worse, picker or stow? Am stow and am really looking into getting a transfer to another facility and another subject…(picker) As “flex” Should i or shouldn’t? I hate stowing, and i hate all the wanna be “ i own amazon” manegers
Stower is the worst im telling you
Picking is def worst then stowing , stow is probably easiest job besides single pack
@@kitafrank948 I hope not, since so far i’ve gotten 2 write ups in 17 months for productivity…trying 2 chnge it up a bit :)
@@kitafrank948 why is single pack easy?
I did singles and afe pack last peak for 6months, easy but very fast paced. I am back at amazon for 22 peak and now doing stow. I think stow is way easier. U get to move around and that ladder helps move your joints so you aren't just standing in one spot all day, plus Osha just made amazon put big ass nice fans so it's no longer hot[ only in the stow dept]😁
dam 20 bucks an hour as pick? what city do you work in?
