We have visited in the month of MARCH. Yes.. Rishihat village is in two parts.. One is near the Rishihat tea factory.. best and only one homestay near it is Hossana Homestay which is at the last lower end.. We stayed there also and video is available in our channel.. you can watch it. Second side is near Rishihat Farmstay and above it. It is also called rishihat khasmal.. It is in the higher altitude.. Hope it will be helpful.

Indeed the view is very nice.. It will be colder at the last week of December but snowfall doesn't occurs here. Infact Rishihat is lower in height than darjeeling and Darjeeling also doesn't receives snowfall.. If you want to enjoy snowfall then go to Sandakhphu or North Sikkim in Late December or January.

It is in Mirik, West Bengal.

We did not face any bad hospitality issue, however we also feel that the personal touch of homestay was missing. The property is good but it feels like hotel rather than homestay. If anyone prefers homestay then he can choose KUTUMBA KUTIR, which I think would be better in the same area.

Yes, Kutumba kutir is one of the best homestays I have ever stayed...as regards location hospitality cleanliness... Ashish ji alone is enough to look after the guests....and tasty veg dishes prepared by his mother were excellent

We only talked with the owner over a cup of tea and the views from Kutumba Kutir are magnificent, especially the night view. Rajib ji you must have had a surreal time. Thanks for sharing your experience. It will definitely guide people to make an informed decision.
