Hiking through Peek-a-boo and Spooky slot canyons in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in southern Utah, on a lovely clear day with very low chance of forecasted flash flooding.
Located along Hole-in-the-Rock trail and the historic Mormon immigrant trail leading to present day Glen Canyon and Lake Powell.

Aspen Colorado. From the top of Loge Peak lift and snow cat ride up to the main gate, it's a ridge hike up to Highland Peak with a snowboard strapped to my daypack. The final steep pitch is Heart Attack Hill with mere footholds chipped into the face with blunt snowboard boots.

Overlooking Queenstown on Lake Wakatipu, and the snow capped Remarkables (Kawarau) range in the distance, Celil (Ka-kamu-a-Hakitekura) and Walter Peaks. A solid full day hike with over 1400m elevation from Queenstown and well above the 800m tree line; the steepness brought fluctuations in weather including a snow flurry and strong gusts on the exposed ridge after the saddle . On the descent from Ben Lomond track, visited some mates working at the AJ Hackett Bungy jump post from the Skyline Overlook in Queenstown, NZ. What a delightful job, to rig visitors and jumpers, hype them up, and often nudge 'em over the edge! www.bungy.co.nz/

Caught in a mid-November snow flurry on the ridge track to Ben Lomond. At this point we're well above the 800m tree line altitude to enter alpine tussocks and shrubs. Beyond the saddle is Ben Lomond Station where the track crosses private land and unmaintained. From here the terrain becomes steeper and rockier on the approach to Ben Lomond 1,748m summit.

Saw the navy or airforce show in Ramstein back in the 70s as an 11yro. Disremember which it was. I was there in Germany again in the 80s when they had the tragedy in the airshow as well, (aircraft cartwheeled and a midair collision if I remember correctly).
