We never dyno’ed the car after but would assume 8-10whp over stock nothing crazy

tune helps make the extra little hp avail work. stock ecu it will run fine and it will not through a cel for cam pos sensor.

@@imdirazi it’s a combination of boaring- quality head work p&p this head had +.5 oversized valves, good gear ratio selection for the trans and a nice light weight wheels and tire combo amongst other things. And it was running 16-20psi with the 2.2 pulleyboys pulleys.

There are 2 versions of a 2015 Hyundai Genesis the regular sedan with a 3.8l v6 and the rspec version which this is that has a 5.0 v8 in it. This is a 5.0 rspec in the video, sorry your confused but you can troll elsewear as this is in fact a 5.0 🤓

Yeah I just swapped it in from a katcam 273 turbo cam, swapped from a usrt short runner to a usrt long runner. This winter I’m going to a +2 big valve head and 630cc injectors. I’m out of fuel on the Bosch 440cc injectors right now at 23psi.

@@jamesapgar my engine has almost everything done to it currently 94 oil squirter block 20 over Wesco pistons k1 rods crank has been balanced crank is pined also have billet crank gear the head has been massively ported 276 wide lobe big valves arp had studs main studs rod bolts crank bolt I plan on running 30-35 psi with my Garrett gtx3071r gen2 on e85

@@NorthernPerformanceGroup I’m currently running 83.5 je pistons with Rifle drilled H beam rods in a obd1 aba block that was fully balanced, Head that is on the car is a obd1 race ported head but going to freshly rebuilt obd1 German head with +2 valves this winter and larger 630cc injectors I run 106-110oct race fuel. Your going to need 1000cc + sized injectors for 35 psi on e85. Was running 30psi a few years ago on pump gas but haven’t turned it up that high yet cause the 440s are out of steam currently. What management/ecu are you currently running? My car is set up On lugtronic

Around 22psi they become hair dryers your okay up to 18psi or so. The loose efficiency after that

@@2liter8valveABA Pulley Boys, have different size pulleys for the neuspeed chargers, stock 2.8" down to a 1.9". The 2.2 will net around 15psi, of coarse there are a number of other factors that effect actual boost level.

No it's a autotech 260 came out of my boosted 8v when I went to a larger cam 👍

James Apgar I Have never heard a 260 sound like that it sounds like a 270

2595cjp mostly stock motor. no cat 4-1 obx header +4 on cam gear

Duration isn't the main cause of that cam loping sound. It's all about how much valve overlap the cam causes which is determined by a special equation involving duration and lsa/lc. You can have high duration with no lope if ya wanted to. IIRC the stock 8v hydro cam has about -10* overlap. If I'm not mistaken, the 260 has 0* overlap, which is about the limit you wanna run on the mk4 (drive by wire) 2.0 8v engines. Any more overlap, you'll need an ecu tune to raise the idle.

Yeah I do all my own work. Timing is the same as a normal cam just have to install it at top dead center. Make sure crank intermiadiate shaft and cam are all at tdc and your good.

Did you have to use a head spacer for it and get a longer timing chain?

@@charleswiley87 the engine is naturally aspirated and the crank to cam center distance didn't change so the timing belt did not need to be lengthened.
