There are many variants of postapocalitic settings, you resumed the holy trinity (Metro 2033, Fallout and Mad Max) of my personal favourite variant, the "nuclear holocaust" variant, born from the cold war paranoia (+ a random one, The Postman), but there are many more variants and topics The most common one (and the most boring in my opinion) is the zombie variant, I have nothing agains zombies, but they dont make an interest setting by themselves, they should either be localized to a place (like a city, not the entire world) or be one monster among many There are also several topics that mix pretty well like (Retro)Futurism, Uchronia, Eternal War, Postpostapocalipse (nation rebuilding), Monster Horror, Cosmic Horror and Grimdark... but contrary to popular belief, it doesnt mix well with political dystopia without diluting one or the other

Did you ever learn about the glitch to get to the surface without going through your tunnels? I always use it because you can recharge your battery that way. If you never figured it out reply and ill explain it.

I love fallout but metro will always have a special place in my heart. It’s what started my passion for Russian history and culture.

Rage 1 and brink are my favorite bad post apocalypse settings. Probably because of just how different they are. Something like Homefront is also bad but in a different way.
